Movies you've seen recently II

The Covenant - 8/10 Great Movie and great story. Didn't drag like I thought it would.

Extraction 2 - 7/10 ACTION PACKED. Almost from the get go. I was surprised at how much I liked it.

Avatar 2: 4/10
This movie sucked a**. I won’t even bother watching the next one.
2/10 for being a decent looking cartoon. Horrible movie though, took me 5 nights just to watch it because it never could keep my attention..and I've watched Ishtar in one sitting..After I finished I felt it was some weird attack on the Japanese whaling industry.

Watched Movie "Pig" tonight. Nickolas Cage, 8.5/10. Really enjoyed it.
It seems like there are a lot of crummy movies these days.
Last night we watched "Lavender", 4/10. I didn't know they made movie this bad in canada. Bad acting and a lot of wierd noise throughout the movie.

I went with a buddy and watched the Guardians of the Galaxy 3. I'd rate it 7/10.... I really liked them covering Rockets backstory and how he came to be,and why he's the way he is. My biggest gripe is that the main villain was a bit cheesy and over the top. I can see them continuing with the story in a different way. They'll want to capitalize on the success of the franchise.

Beast 6/10 I'm always game for an over the top Bollywood flick and this one was definitely that. Just way too long but had it's moments. The dude would take out John Wick in a heartbeat and dance better also.

There were a couple of scenes that just ruined for me, and I'm not picky. Lol.

No Hard Feelings 6/10

Has some funny commentary. Felt in a way like a RomCom with a little raunchy humor.

My only gripe: They depicted Jennifer Lawrence’s character as broke in the previews, that struggles to pay her property taxes. She lives in an inherited home in The Hamptons. Real estate there is among the highest in the country. She was sitting on a $2 million asset. Just the logic in me thinking, but that’s just Hollywood.
The preview makes one think it would be terrible. Jennifer Lawrence has been on a role landing so many good roles. Hard to believe she would agree to play in this type of movie?

Shotgun Wedding 6/10 cuter than I thought it'd be.

Vengeance 8/10 really good, took a minute to get into it, but worth it

Venom was on and I watched it for the first time.
6/10..... I've always been a fan of the character. Tom Hardy plays a great Eddie Brock/Venom so it was great casting. However, the movie felt really rushed. It just felt like they were in a hurry to get this over with. It could have used an extra 30 minutes Plus,it could have benefited from an R rating given the character.

It's kinda weird being PG13.... However, I liked the humor and back and forth between Brock and Venom. The action was good even if the main villain was plain and ordinary.

For horror fans, Evil Dead Rise is solid. 7/10. The 2013 remake of the original was better as EDR has a little weaker story but most of it was pretty decent, especially as horror goes.

Fri night- Extraction 8/10, entertaining. Who you gonna trust?
Sat night- Mission Impossible(5), "Fallout" 8/10 We missed this one 5 years ago. Just too much fighting and stunts. Got boring.
Nonetheless, it beats the crap being put out today by Netflix, Hulu, etc.

You realize Extraction is Netflix, right?

Oops!, Nope. Not everything they put out is crap. Extraction might be the best thing Netflix has done? At least that we have watched.

Personally I thought it was ok. Im not a big CGI spy thriller guy although I have enjoyed some Bond/Mission Impossible films. Netflix has put out good movies but they are few and far between. I just watched Beasts of No Nation and it was amazing.
