So this seems like the best place to post this without starting a new thread.

In 2014 the highest grossing film was American Sniper (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $349,424,355) which opened on Christmas and should close this week with it hitting Blu-ray next week.

In 2014 only Three films hit the Domestic $300 Million mark American Sniper, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 ($337,135,885) and Guardians of the Galaxy[/I ($333,176,600).

Four and half months into 2015 we already have two films that have topped the $300 Mil. Furious 7 (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $339,816,615) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $329,133,743) I don't currently see Age of Ultron making the $600 domestic mark that The Avengers did.

I think its possible we could have up to ten films crack the $300Mil point!

You have Mad Max getting good reviews, Jurassic World, Ant-Man, Minions, Pixels, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, The Walk, The Peanuts Movie, Spectre, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens Some of these will do much better and I think a lot these have a good shot at it and then you have the sleepers like San Andreas, Terminator: Genisys, Fantastic Four, Jane Got a Gun and The Martian,

Avengers:AoU - 8.5/10 I like how the whole theater gasped in amazement when Vision picks up Mjolnir as if it were a napkin and hands it back to Thor.

Mad max fury road: 8/10
It was pretty cool. Intense, entertaining, action packed, good acting. Definitely worth seeing.

Joe is an awesome movie...

I just finished it at 5am because of everyone's recommendation. Being sick is rough.... But catching up on movies is fun. Great movie and Cage is at his very best here. Sheridan had a good role as well and the drunk Daddy was spot on. I read that he was homeless when cast for the role and died shortly after it came out to video .

Watched 50 Shades of Grey last night. Parts of it weren't bad, but other parts were just cringe worthy. IMO the woman's character was really poorly written. I guess that's not surprising though since the novel started out as Twilight fan fiction.

That sucks, I loved the first one.

Me too...this one started out very good...but in retrospect, so did the first. It dawns on you...same formula...much fewer laughs. Good for Redbox, pay channel or Netflix. Going to the theater you want it to be worth the investment.

Sad story. He played the role really well.

Mad Max (the original)

4/10

I watched the original today. It was decent. If I remember correctly 2 and 3 are better. There wasn't much of a plot. I really like revenge flicks in general, but the revenge was pretty quick too. Not a lot of dialogue either. Hopefully 2 and 3 are as good as I remember.

I think it had a budget of $300,000, but made $50 million. My numbers might be off a little , but that's a hell of a profit. The 2nd movie was the best, IMO

Kingsman: The Secret Service. 8/10

Matthew Vaughn gets me. ....I want that guy to direct everything.
