So this seems like the best place to post this without starting a new thread.
In 2014 the highest grossing film was American Sniper (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $349,424,355) which opened on Christmas and should close this week with it hitting Blu-ray next week.
In 2014 only Three films hit the Domestic $300 Million mark American Sniper, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 ($337,135,885) and Guardians of the Galaxy[/I ($333,176,600).
Four and half months into 2015 we already have two films that have topped the $300 Mil. Furious 7 (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $339,816,615) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (Domestic Total as of May. 13, 2015: $329,133,743) I don't currently see Age of Ultron making the $600 domestic mark that The Avengers did.
I think its possible we could have up to ten films crack the $300Mil point!
You have Mad Max getting good reviews, Jurassic World, Ant-Man, Minions, Pixels, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, The Walk, The Peanuts Movie, Spectre, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens Some of these will do much better and I think a lot these have a good shot at it and then you have the sleepers like San Andreas, Terminator: Genisys, Fantastic Four, Jane Got a Gun and The Martian,
