I remember watching the movie thinking it was alright, nothing special. Then the end happened and I was like damn that was awesome. Lol

It figures you liked the ending of that movie, it was stupid and horrible.

Yep, good ole Stephen King.

Not King's ending.

It was more Cohen Brothers than Stephen King. I know he kills a lot of kids in his books, but rarely does he do so so close to a happy ending. He usually saves the death before denouement for an adult protagonist.

It wasn't King's ending it was Frank Darabont's ending. In the book they drive off in the truck down the road, they turn the radio on and while scanning through stations looking for anything they hear some guy say "Hartford" and then it just ends.
There was no epically stupid ending where he shoots everyone in the car including his own child and walks off only to run into the army.

Football season is just a crazy time for me. Throw in a divorce on top of that, and I just haven't had a lot of time.

Oh man. Sorry to hear this. We have been missing you over in the politics forum. At least come hang out with us in the "off topic" thread.

Classic case of love/hate reaction to an ending. Lots of people laud the "gut punch" ending and others not so much. That's cinema for you.

I've seen all kinds of endings to movies but this one was just absurd. They had barely explored what was outside the town to pull the truck over and decide to do that of all things.

they ran out of gas, which means they probably drove a good bit outside the town. really wasn't that absurd at all, though I probably would have waited a tad longer.

Furious 7. Not into these movies a lot, but watched since it was Walker's last. Nice tribute to him at the end.

I was laughing so hard at Furious 7 with the parachuting cars and whatnot.

It's funny that the series started with a movie for niche car-loving audiences and then it evolved into the biggest action franchise ever. WTF

Never seen a single one.

I actually like the first one. Not that it's good film-making, but it's good for what it set out to do, and it's niche. 2 is garbage. Never saw 3. I've seen parts of 4-7 but have never been able to sit through them. It's not really my style of action movie.

The first one was good, but parachuting and jumping into skyscrapers went to far.
