Yeah I have posted a lot about it in the off topic thread in the RF and the Game of Thrones thread about a week or so ago. The cast and crew have been staying at Pine Mountain state park lodge some. My wife works there now, she has met Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston and the Director. They have also rented a couple of the houses up on Ivy Hill here in town. I have not seen them yet, but they were upstairs in a closed off section at the Portal when I was eating there last Sunday after church. They will be around for a month or so.

Pine mountain is cool. You gotta walk to chain rock if you haven't yet!

Yeah I have already been to Chain rock. That is cool. I have already done some of the hikes. I've done the honeymoon falls and Hemlock garden trail. The Hemlock garden is my favorite, the trees are massive old growth. Next time you come back you should take your girls and do the new zipline trail. It is really awesome. They have not opened it to the public yet, but it supposed to next week. It is about a two hour trip to do the whole circuit.

Cool

Red Box'ed Spectre (Bond) over the weekend. The cinematography and actors were gorgeous, and the campy elements were tamped down enough to allow the film to work for all audiences.

Still chuckling a little over the helicopter shoot-down at the very end.

Trainwreck 5.5/10 - disappointing given the cast and people involved. The Cena scene in the movie theater was about the only time I really laughed.

Spy 7.5/10 - much better comedy than Trainwreck. Some pretty funny lines.

The Human Race

80 people get forced to race or die. Stop you die, step in the grass you die, get lapped twice you die, try to escape...well you get it. Sounded semi interesting, well its not. Though the end got pretty funny.

best part was everyone can die. They build a back story in the beginning about a chick that beats cancer, she immediately steps in the grass and her head explodes. 2 kids get their heads exploded. A pregnant woman's baby explodes out of her stomach and a dude steps on the baby hand. One guy is obviously the hero for 75% of the movie till he randomly dies. The def guy trying to get some booty toward the end was pretty entertaining

The Nice Guys was a pretty big disappointment. As much as I wanted to love it (Gosling fan boy over here), it just felt flat to me. There are some good laughs, and the chemistry between Crowe and Gosling was alright, but I can't give any higher than a C+, on what should have been A grade material.

Watching.."Tammy" and thinking it would be funnier to me, if I didn't know how many dummies like her there really are in the world. And a lot of them are voting.
