The Jungke Book (2016) I saw it today at 4:30
8 out of 10
It quotes the original classic book, colorful believable characters including the brutal villain a orange tiger that is Shere Khan, stunning environments and animals, great acting, has plenty of drama, funny moments, exciting action, and a terrific climax.
Disney hit a home run now I hope since they keep adapting their animated movies with live action versions soon they'll make and release a live action version of Aladdin.

"Legend"..the one with Tom Hardy about the London east end gangster Kray brothers...8/10. Hardy is really doing a great job, playing great characters lately. Playing both Kray twins and knocking it out of the park, and killing it playing the villain Fitzgerald in The Revenant. I'm not going to say what brought Legend down a tad to me, because it would be a spoiler. It may not bother some, but it was odd to me. I think I can safely say it concerns Reg's wife. Others that have already seen the movie may know what I'm talking about. I am curious to know how others felt about it.

It was a little slow paced for me.

Just saw Civil War. I'd give it an 8/10. Solid movie, Paul Rudd and Tom Holland killed it as Ant Man and Spider-Man. Black Panther was awesome as well.

Watched count of monte cristo again. 7/10. Haven't seen it since it came out, but a pretty good flick.

I just watched The Revenant. I don't understand how this performance of DiCaprio was Oscar worthy. He spent the majority of the movie screaming in pain or just not talking at all. He probably had 20 lines of dialogue in the whole movie. In fact, the best part about this movie was when there were no actors on screen at all, whoever the cinematographer is did a wonderful job. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but I feel the performance was nowhere near that of Blood Diamond, The Departed, or even The Wolf of Wallstreet. I think he did a good job but it wasn't really a performance that should be awarded.

I love Revenant, but I do agree with you. Leo did a great job, but there was not much really to do here. I think the Oscar win was a "career" award for him. I thought Hardy was great in this movie.

I saw on Facebook they're getting ready to film a movie in Harlan.

Yeah I have posted a lot about it in the off topic thread in the RF and the Game of Thrones thread about a week or so ago. The cast and crew have been staying at Pine Mountain state park lodge some. My wife works there now, she has met Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston and the Director. They have also rented a couple of the houses up on Ivy Hill here in town. I have not seen them yet, but they were upstairs in a closed off section at the Portal when I was eating there last Sunday after church. They will be around for a month or so.
