i'll blame fulmer for that. He was horrid at talent development. Very few players left knoxville markedly better than they entered.

i'm not saying everybody.

but, when he left tennessee, what he was most known for was fumbling.

i believe it would be accurate to say that for the vast majority of people, it was not shocking to see him go undrafted. it is however shocking to see he is one of the best running backs in the nfl.

more power to him and congratulations. i'm sure everyone wished him nothing but the best as he was never thought of to be a bad kid, and from what i can understand is a very good man.

but, to pretend that he left tennessee as a highly thought of and well respected player would be a little disingenuous

True he didn't have many fumbles in his career, but to argue against the above statement is just wrong. 99 is right, when you say Foster to many UT fans, the FIRST word that comes to mind is fumble. They may not articulate it and talk about his absolutely awesome (no sarcasm) NFL career, but they will think it none the less.
