Mr Robot (USA Network)

Started off great, quickly degenerated into the BDSM etc. for no real good reason. How hard is it to make a character out to be a villain without all the sadomasochist BS? It seems to be the formula today.

The actor that plays the lead is perfect for this role. The first episode really piqued my interest but now I'm "meh." It's going to be difficult keeping this plot rolling. We'll see.

Started off great and has gotten worse each episode.

I'm giving it one more week.

Weird, it started great and continues to be excellent for me and my friends who watch it. The fact they're pushing the envelope with a ton of things for USA makes it better to me as well.

I'm just glad it's already been renewed for another season so that there's no cliff hanger ending or mixed up storylines to be left dangling at the end.

I'm honestly not seeing how people think the last few episodes have differed from the pilot, other than more emphasis on supporting characters.

I'm thinking it might be a comfort level thing for them, maybe. This last episode was probably the most edgy of them all with the whole detox, drug trip thing.

I love the ambiguous nature of whether or not Mr Robot(Christian Slater) is real or if he's part of Elliot's condition.

No one looks at Mr Robot or acknowledges him besides Elliot.

The only time others even "look" at Mr Robot is when he's standing behind Elliot.

My guess is they'll show a picture of Elliot's dad on a news broadcast and it will look eerily similar to Mr. Robot.

Good theory...

I noticed in the last episode that the blank lot he visited had the name Andersons on the mail box, so that was his old home....the whole key bit with the girl was interesting. I'm thinking she is Angela, making her the metaphorical key..which also makes her the key to unlocking the real Elliot, the one we assume created the original Mr Robot alias...Not the Elliot that was created as an alias to get into Allsafe. As time goes on the real Elliot will start to come to the surface, causing all kinds of interesting self-contradictions with the morals of his old self juxtaposing with the morals of his new self....perhaps this will further splinter his personality and cause even stronger hallucinations - I'm not sure. Just know Angela is prob the key to the real Elliot. Anyways....fun show to theorize about.

I really didn't want that to be the ending to the episode. Mr. Robot even told him that was going to happen. Though she didn't serve much purpose to the story I'm definitely going to miss her.

I'm enjoying Tyrell and his wife playing the game of thrones just as much as Elliot's adventures. Pretty entertaining.

Mind blown?

Sister?! Dad never died?!

Mr. Robot is an imaginary manifestation of Elliot's dad in his mind.

Darlene as Elliot's sister is a great twist, and her interactions with him in the first few episodes make a ton of sense now. Awesome episode.

That's what I've been thinking about his dad; I think it's a Fight Club type situation where everytime you see others interact with his dad, they are actually interacting with Elliot. One of the episodes where they were both at the bar, the bartender never actually interacted with Christian Slater.

The finale has been postponed for a week because of a scene similar to this morning's shooting. However, they're saying it won't be edited when it airs.

Guess they're going to make us wait till next season to find out about Tyrell.

Just theory...
That was Tyrell wearing the mask in the FSociety video in the last episode. I'm pretty sure he executed the code to take down the data and get back at Evil Corp for firing him. At some point though I think he may have actually been killed by Elliot with the gun that Elliot hid in the popcorn machine in an earlier episode.

He didn't hide that gun. His sister did.

I just binged the season over the past few days. Good times

Caught up on this series recently, and holy **** it's so amazing.

I want to tell people it's like Fight Club for hackers, but then they expect a big twist, so I started telling people it's like Breaking Bad for hackers and Jesse is the star instead of Walt - sold!
