I completely agree. I was referring to pre-NIL, particularly when Saban got there. Their entire system was a machine until NIL (thankfully) neutralized a lot of that advantage.

We didn’t cheat exactly like Miami but we cheated a lot during the 90’s.

Ruiz terrifies me. Spyre needs to start putting up billboards in every city in Tennessee with 100k or more residents that says “want the best recruits in the country? Donate 5 bucks a month to the Volunteer Club” either that or start running commercials on the local news with “Arms Of An Angel” playing in the background with clips of us in our dark times followed up with us storming the field last year and the 98 Natty and say “for only 5 bucks a month you can help build the best football program in the country and guarantee we never go back to the dark ages again”

Agree. When I see Miami gettin involved I automatically start thinking about Mauigoa. Not saying that’s gonna happen but we absolutely have to worry about Miami.
