AP thinks he's headed for Miami. Said his grandmother loves CRG and Tennessee, but thinks Kam leans Miami. Believes he's taking her down to Miami at the end of the month for her stamp of approval

Adding the source would have been helpful, but that info should have been available on the GQ.

People are ignoring the effects of the NCAA investigation hanging over our heads. Negative recruiting will kill a class.

Whats the rationale for it being related to an investigation? Kids don’t care about bowl games anymore. A scholarship reduction would be in the future and mean less kids coming after your job. No one’s gotten a TV ban in 35 years. If it doesn’t affect NIL money or being on TV, I just don’t see kids getting too worked up about it.

How can this kid look at Miami after last season and say yes I want to play for that school… Cristobal must be one hell of a snake oil salesman

The vibe and culture at Miami is completely different than what's been built in Knoxville. If a kid loves that culture, then he's not likely a fit with the Vols long term. That has nothing to do with NIL. It is what it is. Very contrasting dynamics.

1. Can’t lose what you never had.

2. It is insane how “The U” is able to sell a product that has not existed since like 2004, with a viewership in the singles of thousands.

To be fair our product hasn’t been great since 2007 until last season but Neyland still sold significantly more seats during our dark ages + we were like the 5th most watched team last season.

if the kid can’t see through the snake oil sold by Cristobal then that’s on him 🤷‍♂️

Yeah sounds like (and it could be both), Miami is just willing to overpay for his services or he's caught up with the flare of being in South Beach. No way it's a football decision imo. The area he's from is right outside of Memphis.

Cristobal is known for his recruiting prowess, but at Oregon he had the Nike machine behind him and at Miami it's easy to sell a hormonal teenage boy looking for a good time.
