'24 MS DL Kamarion Franklin (Ole Miss commit)

And this is exactly why recruits should take NIL deals from a collective and not from just one big booster...the collective is a more secure entity. Miami's NIL deals almost totally rely on Ruiz. If his finances take a big enough hit, then recruits aren't going to get paid.

Does Miami not have a collective? I thought Ruiz was part of it and was just the biggest money bagman.

Well, unless you’re a basement-dwelling, terrible poetry writing leach on society, you probably aren’t Ben Stancliff.
It’s just something Jack likes to say in between such football savvy quips like calling a 330 lb nose tackle "rangy".

It's sounding like Miami's NIL collective could be about to go the way of Florida's NIL collective.

I disagree. Sure, we want Franklin, but a strong Miami hurts Florida. And anything that hurts the Gators is my friend.
That doesn’t hurt Florida. Ole Miss and Miss St have to fight each other for instate players. The state of Florida has enough players for both teams. They have a ton of players leave the state…and I don’t blame them.
