Yes they have Canes Connection, but don’t know how involved Ruiz is with them.

Two sources close to Miami’s NIL deals believe none of what happens with Ruiz and his business going forward will affect the athletes within the program financially because they fulfilled their end of the deals and received payment. LifeWallet’s remaining deals with Miami athletes, two sources said, have expired or are set to expire by the end of the year.”

So they’re not paid over years but one lump sum at the beginning? That could be hard to turn down.

I would assume if it is lump sum, then anyone going to the portal would have to pay back the portion remaining. I can see several athletes spending a lot of their money early and then have no money left, or not enough, to pay the balance. They would then negotiate their remaining balance in a new collective at a potential new school to pay the debt at previous school. That could be interesting negotiations using a new school collective to try and repay the debt to the previous school.

Feels like this kid is just chasing NIL.

I think Garner has done pretty much everything he could in this recruitment but I feel like he’s looking for a reason not to come here.

Hope I’m wrong.

He will get it at Auburn.

Previous coach wanted to keep everything above board which is a huge reason why he had early problems with the boosters. Freeze won’t have those issues.
