'25 MS QB Deuce Knight (Auburn commit)

I watched most of the game and wasn’t impressed at all with DK. I understand it’s a new offense but what I noticed was inaccuracy and some terrible decisions made under pressure. He reminded me a lot of JG but more athletic.

Not making a case for Deuce over Gmac. Just giving info that some people might not know. Brentwood Academy hasn't looked very good to start the season either.
GMAC hasn’t been missing wide open guys. Not even worried about the fumble issue with Deuce, if it even is one. The accuracy problem has nothing to do with just being there for five minutes like allvol has said. It was an issue for him last year too. GMAC moves pretty damn well too imo… I’m sure he improves as the season goes on but you don’t take the guy with an accuracy issue over an Instate 5 star talent.

I’m not anti-Deuce now by any means. He’s a highly ranked prospect for a reason. I would still be very happy if we get him, I just hope GMac is our QB. But he may not be so we need to keep pressing for Knight as well. Last night was just rough for him.
For a long time I was pro-Deuce > GMac. I've been a little underwhelmed by Deuce's performances. Not that they're bad, because he's shown some great throws and runs, but moreso his body language on the field. He just hasn't seemed "locked-in" from the little I've watched. Obviously he's knew to the school and team and that's got to be tough for confidence and team chemistry but just my observation. Would still be happy with either.

IMO the gap between this is wider that most think. GMac is a considerably better prospect. There were quite a few posters that developed the opinion that they were basically even or that Deuce might even be better. I believe most of those opinions were formed because those posters thought we had a much better chance at getting a commitment from Duece. So they wanted it to be true that Duece was a better prospect.

I believe most of those posters were looking at it from an athletic perspective. I didn't see anyone say Deuce was currently a better prospect or passer, but did see where some thought Deuce had more potential given his athletic abilities. Think they also took into account that Deuce would need to improve in the passing game but he's not a bad passer, GMac is just more polished. Deuce is also playing on a new team and a new offense and he arrived later than most prospects would have. I'd personally be happy with either. If the coaches believe GMAC is their guy (which all indications points to that), I'm perfectly happy with whatever they decide. I trust the staff.

GMac is the guy
As much as I love Knights running ability.
The lack of securing the football is troubling.

Also, I think if they had last years QB, then they probably beat Saraland.

He's still new there. But Lipscomb has a tough schedule.

I'm saying I think I was wrong about him.
... he's a little too loose with the football.
He looked absolutely lost sometimes.

Big of you to admit it.

Still has plenty of time to improve IF he can.

I can see why Heupel has slow played him or not put him in the priority.

Watching LA offense...almost feels like he brought George County's energy with him.

Yeah i jumped the gun on him.
