'25 MS QB Deuce Knight (Auburn commit)

Still has plenty of time to improve IF he can.

I can see why Heupel has slow played him or not put him in the priority.

Watching LA offense...almost feels like he brought George County's energy with him.

Yeah i jumped the gun on him.
Actually, we won't be able to get a fair assessment on him until the next couple of games. He hit campus about a week before that IMG game, and then they started the season facing far better competition than he'll see the rest of the season in TN football. They have a brand new coach (Dilfer went to UAB) and his offensive line has gotten destroyed these first two games. The play calling and decision making by the new staff has been lackluster as well. The odds haven't exactly been in his favor so far. We'll have to see if these first two games have destroyed his confidence, or if he bounces back the next couple of weeks.

That’s right! He can only be judged while playing against inferior competition.

I don’t think you fully jumped the gun. You can tell the kid is a superior athlete. He just looks lost and his accuracy is a huge issue. There are lots of more polished QBs out there for us to pursue.

The point was that he had basically one week to learn an offense before playing one of the most loaded high school teams in the country. An offense that is also new to everybody on the team. One can choose to look at it objectively or not. This isn't back yard football.

I watched 2 of his games last year.
He put in a ton of work this summer.
Those 2 games i watched I didn't see a player that got rattled. So I expected him to slowly build steam and then explode in game 3

But

Just every play the way he's holding the football so casual and not with the right intent...
And where's the fire???

It's still early.

He wasn't so inaccurate last season.

Two really tough games to start the year for Lipscomb, but the ball security is not something to turn a blind eye too. Especially if it's because his natural behavior.

That dude gave Saraland the game.

That was a terrible play call, running the obvious QB sneak when the line had been blown up all night. At the same time, he didn't really appear to want it on that play either.

Well then lock him down as the second guy or go grab Nico’s brother. I think I’d rather have Nico’s brother as the second one more.

Name two top 5 QBs in the same class
For starters UT signed Stewart and Manning both to 5. Stewart lost the job and transferred to A&M.

I believe Bama signed two top five or at least top 10 a couple times in the past 5-8 years. That’s without digging but I know there’s been a couple more.

GMac and DK are both ranked higher than the highest ranked of those 2 Bama QBs. Both GMac and DK are currently ranked top 5 QBs. Bama’s were 8th and 13th. And that’s to a program that has won 6 NC in the last 15 years.

The other example you gave was 30 years ago.
