'25 MS QB Deuce Knight (Auburn commit)

I mean they’ve lost several early games and just had their star QB quit the team and transfer after 3 games. Not surprised that they sound disinterested. I’m sure some have given up on the season already after this start.
If the UT commits “give up” on the season…….that’s a huge red flag for me

I’m not watching so idk who looks disinterested or not. Just responding to that one comment that it’s not terribly surprising if this is the case. Tons of early adversity for this time and they’re all kids, most of them ones who won’t play at the next level.

I can't say I'm that surprised. He abruptly left south Mississippi for Lipscomb, was thrust into a new school, new team, new coaches. He's away from his family and friends. The academic requirements are probably higher.

I transferred to a new high school the summer before my senior year, 1 county away. After a month I transferred back. This was in the middle of fall workouts for a winter sport and school had already started of course. It wasn't even as big of a change as what this young man did and it was still more of a shock at the time than I was prepared for. I'm not going to read much more into this than the kid wanted to go home.

Then how is he going to handle college any different? He couldn't take the transistion, so it is a valid concern. I may understand it, but still it is evidence that he can not be dependend on to tough things out.

NOT ideal, but not everyone is a great leader in life. Particularly at a younger age. But, if you’re a follower, (and you have or develop some self-awareness), just make sure you follow the right people. If so, you’ll be fine.

Logic and ethical behavior?

Again, this is an anonymous internet message board.

You’re screaming into the void. Admonishment of speculation is not going to affect behavior here.

Bring it on, just don't get huffy when those with standards take exception to posts that IN THEIR OPINION, warrant admonishment. Just don't like talking out of both sides of a keyboard on the freedoms associated with boards. Some of us recognize our limitations in analyzing coaches and players from the couch, but excel in ANONYMOUS root cause and net impact posting fan analysis.

Bring it on? Lol, who’s getting huffy?

I’ve said the same thing three times now. Though it apparently thoroughly confused a few people…

You can admonish OR chastise, it makes no difference. It won’t change anyone’s behavior.

But I understand that some people like to white knight around on anonymous internet message boards.

You think Tennessee may move on from Deuce from what I see on here GM is the Golden Child...
Football is a "team game," but BA is 1-3 and a 5* QB with weapons all around him should be beating the teams they have played. BA is young, but something is amiss.

He’s obviously the preference for the coaches. Until recently, mine was Deuce…based solely on my belief he would be more conducive to sitting, learning and developing behind others. Gotta admit, this move serves as a red flag for a face of the program type QB. That position faces a plethora of tough situations and pressure and you’re judged by how you deal. He has a season and the rest of this one to present his true narrative, but in the meantime I definitely give the tiebreaker to G-Mac or QB to be determined…maybe Madden.

If he was a senior, I would be very concerned-to-doubtful. But he's Class of 2025, right? A junior.

So he's now experienced homesickness. He knows this is something he will have to work on and overcome. And he has at least a year to do that.

So I think it's just a wait 'n see
...and Tennessee's coaches have the closest relationship with him to evaluate how he (and his family) are responding.
