MTV's "The Challenge" Thread

Tbf to Josh, 95% of the guys need a really strong female either mentally or physically. Jordan, Bananas, Wes and CT could win with just an Amber type and that's about it. I would say Fessy but he still has a couple question marks.

I thought about it yesterday- the male cast nowadays is weak.

In the past - CT, Wes, Jordan, JEK, Darrell, Abram, etc. those were guys you knew could win a challenge.

Then there was a bunch of filler male cast members like Neemiah, Big E, Dunbar, Danny Jamieson etc.

IMO all the new guys they’re bringing in… they all feel like the filler type more than anything else.

Is there a cast member that’s relatively new to the show - say within the last 5-8 seasons, that you would/could consider having legit championship potential?

A new season, Duel format, minus the old heads like CT/Wes etc. Just the new core of cast members. I’d be curious to see who would come out on top.

In a solo season? I definitely think Fessy could win, especially if no CT/Jordan/Bananas/Wes, and could with them given the right type of final.

I honestly think Pirate Jordan with experience has potential to win a final, he's fast, agile, good endurance, was 1 of the first guys to get the math done in the one challenge. It is hard to properly gauge him cause he's had Kaycee all season though.

Ed maybe? Pretty smart and athletic. I think Kyle can, he finished second behind Bananas and ahead of Fessy and Cory a couple years ago. Oh Kelz maybe?

But yeah I agree, a bunch of filler cast members.

We did have a few guys and for various reasons they haven't returned or been asked back. Turbo, Theo, Rogan, Joss, I'll get roasted but Paulie was a good competitor.

Looking back the WOWs had so much potential for future casting. The guys above then Jenny, Georgia, Dee, Mattie, and even Ninja.

There were 11 solid to really good cast members from those 2 seasons and only Kyle remains. Lol and I probably forgot a couple.

Theo and Turbo were such sick competitors. Turbo's caveman **** got a little old so I'm OK with him being blackballed, but Theo would be winning this season with one eye. Why isn't he here?

You don't have to go back very far to see the most competitive the Challenge probably ever was (I think it was the WOW years), but suddenly we have a male cast that is solid at best.

Paulie was good at everything but his run through a brick wall mentality usually cost him.

Yeah Turbo was crazy AF. They were going to let him go back that season, and he told them if they did he would attack Jordan in his sleep and break his bones. Lol Theo said a little while back they wouldn't clear him medically. I agree too, he would be killing this season.

Yeah WOW years was so stacked, especially 1 when it was pairs. I would take 80% of that cast over these goofs.

Very true on Paulie. The dive was classic, ****ing idiot. He was tough in comps though. But conversely Kyle was unbearable when Paulie and Cara was on the show.

Idk if anyone is watching All-Stars but that was one of the dumbest eliminations I've ever seen, only beat out by lifting watermelons and logs. Oh and that fire soccer ball one with Cory and Nelly. F***ing fireball tic tac toe. Smh lol

It made no sense to avoid throwing in Big T because no matter who they threw in was picking Big T. Amanda wanted Tori in but that's the person most likely to infiltrate (and take her spot).

Lost respect for Devin. It's easier to like him when you think being a childish ******* is an act. He reminded us that it's not.

Also, why do people think they will run the final with their team? I can't really see how that would work. We potentially could have a team of 5 vs. a team of 2 in the final? Seems like the only way for that to work would be for your team to get wittled down to 2 during the final, so you'd be competing against your team.

Just watched this past episode. Big T….. thank god you’re gone. Just made a very predictable show once the daily was won. It was obvious she was going into the elimination one way or another and that she would lose.

Devin is so obnoxious this season. And I like Devin.

Yeah even considering anyone else, especially Tori, was dumb.

I think its cause last year it was more playful, maybe cause Kyle was always beside him to balance it out some? That and he was doing it to Josh and Fessy so we cared less. Lol

The Ruins say hi. Lol But I think it goes solo soon.

Half of me wants Devin to get CT in a hall brawl and the other half wants to watch him die in a final.

Also dumb mother ****ers you probably have 2 guys eliminations left...throw in ****ing CT both times.

I’m hoping pirate Jordan makes the final. I’d be curious to see how he performs and he seems like he be a good new regular. He, Emy, and Ed get me vote for being the best candidates to become fixtures.

Yeah he seems the best equipped to win a final to me. I was thinking about what rookie would be brought back and agree with your 3. Emy is a lock for life at this point. PJ might need more drama, but Kaycee exists so maybe not. Ed just needs to be Ed. Lol

This rookie cast is weird cause outside those 3, I can see 8 with a really good chance of at least getting a second chance and another 3 or 4 maybes. Which is impressive considering they got steam rolled.

BTW, I feel like you can always tell the temperature on a player by the way TJ says goodbye to them. For less established players, he usually includes "I hope to see you again." or "I'm sure you'll be back." or something along those lines with varying degrees of confidence. He gave Big T absolutely nothing.

She says she's taking a couple years off. I think she was told "no thank you" and is trying to save face.

Good point. He should have hit her with the "hope to see you never" line.

Also Devin and Kyle are such great friends that he threw Kyle a scottish themed birthday party, and admitted he didn't know Kyle was English on the aftershow. Lol

I thought he was Irish.

Edit: he's from South Shields which is right by Sunderland and I know enough about soccer to know they are the hayseeds of England. That's why I'm (and probably Devin is) confusing his accent.
