Putin definitely wants democracy, the United States and the west weakened. It's why he supports Brexit and Calexit.

I really do think he sat on his ass and laughed at the US. As I told VolProf a long time ago, if there are IP Addresses traced back to the Russian Government, it means either Russia wanted to be found out... Or they are not very competent. It's not difficult to hide your IP Address. The report I really want to see comes from either Huber or Horowitz.

Democracy is weakening itself by selling out to Globalism. Democracy/Republics require sovereignty. I can argue that because Democracy requires sovereignty, Putin is actually saving it.

Strong democracies in alliance is absolutely terrible for someone who wishes to be come a modern Czar.

He already is. From what I gathered from his speeches is that, unless he's lying his ass off, he's trying to put Russia economically on the map since the Collapse of the Soviet Union. Why would he want to have everyone's eyes peeled onto him? He's also one of the first international politicans who have bashed Globalism. Europe is doing a fantastic job of weakening itself by putting themselves into financial ruin through overly expensive medical programs. Europe is growing slower than Africa. If he wants to watch democracy weaken, all he has to do is nothing.

I would love to see a source for the bold.

And Putin wants those he considers to be Russia's adversaries weakened. Why do you think he hates NATO so much. Not because he thinks Germany should pay more for defense.
