Mueller Report Imminent

Trump Jr. Dodged Charges Because He Was ‘Too Dumb to Prosecute’

“To prove that a defendant acted ‘knowledgeably and willfully,’ the government would have to show that the defendant had general knowledge his conduct was unlawful,” said the report.

Mueller’s team hypothesized that Trump Jr. could claim that he didn’t believe that his actions broke the law. They suggested the same is true of Kushner.
Worked for Hillary.

Is this is kicking ass and taking names?
The NYT counted 295 revenue streams from Fred to Donald and his siblings, which began flowing when they were children. It estimates that Donald received at least $413m in today’s money from his father’s empire, mostly from property transfers and a “flood” of loans, many never repaid. Had the money gone straight into a fund tracking the S&P 500 when received, it would now be worth almost $2bn.

Donald Trump’s inheritance
WGAF? You sound jealous.

I don't care. Just pointing out Trump had his German immigrant daddy's millions to help him start his business.
Yup...
Trump had turned to his siblings for a pair of loans totaling $30 million so he could avoid plunging into personal bankruptcy in the early 1990s.
Trump’s siblings doubted their brother could repay them because his collection of condominium buildings, casinos, hotels, and other assorted properties was collapsing under the weight of billions of dollars in bank loans he couldn’t repay. So they made him pledge his future share of his father’s estate as collateral and loaned him the money. Trump gave me his “word” that none of that had happened, but I wrote about it anyway. When he later unsuccessfully sued me for libel he was forced to acknowledge under oath during the litigation that he had, indeed, borrowed from his family.
Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

I guess he colluded then

Can you deranged folks impeach him for that, or do you just like to piss and moan?

It’s not in there just like the words “ he’s guilt of ...” isn’t in there . That’s why it’s all political now . Now it will require putting skin in the game for the Dems if they want to go further , it will be on them and not the SP. I find it really interesting how it was left up in the air .
Roadmap, roadmap, roadmap.

(word of the day from the Dem's morning memo...)

So basically, Trump had an idea he presented to his aids and that was obstruction? Are you sure the obstruction didn't start when he had the idea before he presented it? Maybe you all need to find some pre-cogs.

Maybe Dims are gonna require thought police for anybody but them.

Yup.......i think this is succinct and well stated

The obstruction case against Trump is not conclusive. In fact, his indiscretion and ineptness could be seen as evidence that he did not think he was breaking the law. But at the same time, he recklessly created the appearance that he was guilty of something, disregarding sound legal advice from people who knew better. If arrogant stupidity were a crime, Trump would be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Trump May Not Be Guilty of Obstruction, but He Is Guilty of Arrogant Stupidity

If that were a crime, Obama would have been behind bars years ago.

I'll go with neither. What's choice C?

Actually, there really is no other choice. He is either lying, or guilty of not providing evidence to the proper authorities in a criminal case. Not sure which of your continuums this would fall on, but there really is no other answer, no matter what you might think.

Sure there is. He thought he had evidence proving collusion and he ended up not having evidence that proved collusion.

Eric Swalwell... what a douche. Wants Trump to walk the plank... blinded by logic and reason. Asked if the shoe was on the other foot, would he want Clinton to be impeached since she destroyed key emails that contained damaging evidence against her..his reply... " Sorry, I don't think I follow your question".

Sticking to the agenda come hell or high water... just like Mick, EL, LG and a slew of others here. Shameful... just nothing left to the Democratic party worth a dime, cannot legislate or deal with real issues in this country. You guys are taking this country down, and seemingly enjoying the ride.
My opinion of Swalwell precisely.

Gowdy needs to be a force for the GOP in the coming years. Straight shooter, smart and gets to the bottom line fast. Would not mind seeing him running for POTUS at some point.
Got to agree on Trey Gowdy too. Only, he seems to have had his fill of the cesspool that's Washington, DC.

Russia's intrusion involved numerous methods... This was a big one:

Intrusions into state voter-registration systems- During the summer and fall of 2016, Russian hackers intruded into voter databases and software systems in 39 different states, alarming Obama administration officials to the point that they took the unprecedented step of contacting Moscow directly via the Moscow-Washington hotline and warning that the attacks risked setting off a broader conflict. Obviously, this was inadequate but that is another discussion.

As early as June 2016, the FBI sent a warning to states about "bad actors" probing state-elections systems to seek vulnerabilities. In September of 2016, FBI Director James Comey testified before the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI was investigating Russian hackers attempting to disrupt the 2016 election and that federal investigators had detected hacker-related activities in state voter-registration databases, which independent assessments determined were soft targets for hackers. Comey stated there were multiple attempts to hack voter database registrations. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper attributed these Russian hacking attempts to Vladimir Putin.

In August 2016, the FBI issued a nationwide "flash alert" warning state election officials about hacking attempts. In September 2016, U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials and the National Association of Secretaries of State announced that hackers had penetrated or sought to penetrate, the voter-registration systems in more than 20 states over the previous few months. Federal investigators attributed these attempts to Russian government-sponsored hackers, and specifically to Russian intelligence agencies. Four of the intrusions into voter registration databases were successful, including intrusions into the Illinois and Arizona databases. Although the hackers did not appear to change or manipulate data. Illinois officials said that information on up to 200,000 registered voters was stolen. The FBI and DHS increased their election-security coordination efforts with state officials as a result of this breach.

All of this information is readily available on the internet with a simple Google search of "Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections".
Didn't Barry tell them to cut it out?
