Mueller Report Imminent

Mueller later told Colorado Republican Rep. Ken Buck that "yes," Trump could be charged with obstruction of justice after leaving office.

"You believe that he committed — you can charge the president of the United States with obstruction of justice after he left office?" Buck followed up.

"Yes," Mueller responded.
Of course he can be charged after leaving office. No one is arguing that point. Again, there is a difference between can be and should be.

The McGahn stuff is the worst, imo. If you believe his testimony, Trump is guilty as sin.
If it's brought up in debate, Trump will give his version of the story. Whether or not it's a lie or truly how he sees it, he'll provide a version that doesn't make him look guilty. Right now, Mueller's report only cites McGahn's side. People often see situations completely differently. That's why you always get both sides of the story and figure the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Waste of time. If Obama had done the same thing as Trump, then Republicans would be yelling impeach him and Democrats would defend him.

What is obvious is that Trump said he was F----and obstructed justice. Probably something out there he is afraid they would uncover.
With all due respect you are taking “the I am F’d” out of context. Right after he said something along the lines that he was told he would be unable to accomplish any of his legislative agenda with a special prosecutor hanging over his head. It wasn’t I am f’d bc they will get the goods on me.

I'm losing count how many times you've corrected Dems on this.

Yes, and he did little more than provide Trump something to tweet about. I assure you nobody cares about Mifsud or others who did/didn’t get charged. I really think Jordan’s goal is to make himself a cult hero among GOP voters.
I'll take 1 Jim Jordan for 5 nadlers. Misfud was a key to more fisa warrents being sought initially. No charges, Cia lackey.

And that is why I also included the first part of the exchange and will do so again so the American people can understand😬
... but Mueller was going by the DOJ RULE: "We, at the outset, determined that, when it came to the president’s culpability, we needed to go forward only after taking into account the OLC opinion that indicated that a sitting president cannot be indicted,” he said.

Now in fact, your report expressly states that it does not exonerate the president," Nadler said.

"It does," Mueller said.

Nadler then asked: "Your investigation actually found quote 'multiple acts by the president that were capable of exerting undue influence over law enforcement investigations, including the Russian interference and obstruction of investigations.' Is that correct?"

Mueller said that was "correct."

Nadler continued: "Now Director Mueller, can you explain in plain terms what that finding means so the American people can understand it?"

Mueller said that "the finding indicates that the president was not exculpated for the acts that he allegedly committed."

Mueller was directly asked if his investigation was obstructed in any way and he said no.
Then I stopped paying attention.
That will be played over and over and over.

It’s done.

Nothing is going to happen

It's hysterically funny that the Dems are pigeonholing themselves into having to attempt impeachment. That's not going to go well for them in the end.

This whole "anybody else would be prosecuted, not above the law" rhetoric is exactly what everyone said about Hillary with an unsecured server and nothing happened.
Mifsud is above the law. He lied to the Special Counsel and they let him walk. That is because he was the catalyst of setting up Papadopolous.

Weasel words at the end.

Hey! You picked up on the talking points! Good for you...papa hannity would be proud...
Why Mueller saying his probe wasn’t “curtailed” has nothing to do with obstruction
---so the American people can understand--

— though Republicans are certainly going to try to use that as a talking point to defend the president. (Including Trump himself, less than a few hours after the exchange happened.) Mueller’s team succeeded in carrying out the probe, but Mueller’s report examines Trump’s attempts to shut it down, which were thwarted by his aides. Or, as the report states: “The President’s efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests.”

That's true.

But given his proven penchant for lying I suspect his doing so about this would just make it worse. And you know he will, one on one with Hannity or someone.

Anyone watching knows we're exactly where we were when the report was released. If the House didn't have the votes for impeachment at this time yesterday, they won't have them today.
There are enough Dems in swing districts who know they will be sent back home if they vote to impeach a President based upon a sham investigation started on a false premise. A premise cooked up in the Obama White House/administration along with the FBI, CIA, using some foreign assets to set up meetings to try to trap the Trump campaign in its web. Impeachment ain't happening. Not getting out of the House.
