Yeah, for awhile there it sounded like he was going to pick Devin Nunes. ANyway it's pretty obvious that Mueller was basically a front (to be kind) for the effort to bring Trump down... no doubt you will have a different take than me, but being able to express our opinions freely on here is one of the things that makes America great... or do you not think it is?I wouldn't say that. It changed the Trumper narrative from "total exoneration" to "Mueller didn't write the report". I think the new DNI nominee is saying it was Hillaries legal team that wrote it, or some crazy smack.
Its no surprise to me that Trump picked him.

When Trump throws around his pet terms such as "witch hunt" and "hoax"... his supporters, even the ones at Fox, latch onto it. When his lies are mentioned, the default response is to either play "what-about-ism" as you have, or to dismiss them as no big deal. Nobody ever acknowledges the role that Trump and his son's own dishonesty played in fueling the investigation. Zero responsibility is taken for the lies with zero contrition expressed ... and in turn, his supporters pretend it didn't happen. Well, the lies did happen and it is perfectly reasonable to be suspicious of someone who is lying to you.
Whatever Mueller remembered, it doesn't change the fact that Trump and Trump Jr. lied about who all was in attendance at the meeting and what was discussed. It wasn't the Magnitsky Act and renewing adoptions of Russian children as Trump Jr had said... it was to discuss dirt on Hillary Clinton as his e-mails with Rob Goldstone make very clear. Trump dictated a dishonest memo aboard Air Force One because he was somewhat familiar with federal election law and knew that accepting intelligence on an opponent from a foreign national could be considered "something of value" and he was nervous. The dishonesty reflects a consciousness of guilt. It's over now but to call the investigation a "hoax" or a "witch hunt" is to ignore all the valid reasons for suspicion that did exist.Whether lying or aged, puts his entire testimony and report into question. And is is not whataboutism as this is directly related to your discussion about the tower meeting.

Good grief.... the meeting was setup by Rob Goldstone.Wrong, that was the premise in order to get the meeting once it was going it was apparent that it was about the adoption policies. The entire meeting was setup by the Clinton campaign in order to further perpetuate their insurance policy. The meeting wouldn’t have taken place if Lynch hadn’t allowed the Russian lawyer access, her visa was expired and needed special permission.
It was detailed at length in the Mueller report. They just can't prove that the Trump campaign received any thing of value at the meeting... including dirt on Hillary. My point remains, why lie? The Trumps certainly did fuel the investigation with their dishonesty.I wish you had shared this information with the esteemed Mueller before he completed his investigation.
He could have probably gotten Trump on collusion charges.

Yes, they did.... Trump Jr lied about who was in attendance at the meeting and his purpose behind taking the meeting. He only came clean once his e-mails with Goldstone were made public. Trump Sr also lied about what was discussed at the meeting, even though he had not been in attendance. They didn’t

It really depends on whether or not "something of value" can be defined as information. I have seen it argued both ways.
I like the fact that Mueller didn't want to answer whether or not the Steele Dossier was part of the Russian disinformation campaign.Political opposition research is not illegal unless you go about it the way Hillary Clinton did hiring fusion GPS who hired an ex British spy to concoct lies about Trump. Don’t worry dude it’s all gonna come out the 302’s the ****ing Fisa’s all that ******** it’s all coming out.
