However, what was worse was what he did to Chuck Wepner. In order to promote their fight, he wanted Wepner to call him the n word during an interview. Wepner, for obvious reasons, tells him to eff off and refuses and then Ali claims it happens backstage anyway and uses that to promote their fight.

Ironically enough, later on after the move Rocky is made loosely based on Wepner's life, Ali claims that white people needed to make a champ in the movies to combat who he was in real life.

Check out the list of Ali's opponents. You can find it on Google. But I was talking about a fight between Ali and Tyson in their primes so I don't know who they fought in their careers is relevant.

I think his point Tyson didn't beat anyone worth anything, so his power against spoon fed fighters is irrelevant.

Moore, Listen, Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, Norton of the top of my head>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>old ass Holmes, great LHW but only fighting HW cause he destroyed his division Spinks and Razor lol Ruddock. Once Buster smashed Tyson's aura of invincibility he was done. Tyson was 50% intimidation, Ali wouldn't have bought into it (Foreman was just as scary) and Tyson would have folded after 3-4 rounds. IMO

Haha, thanks for the advice. However, if it was possible to major in boxing history I'd probably have a couple degrees so I'm very familiar with his list of opponents. Tyson's also.

Not really. Just an observation. It's easy to talk crap about someone when you never have done the deed.

Tyson only fighting tomato cans is bs. You can take the time to list your great accomplishments as a fighter as well.

I don't like Tyson or Ali, but I won't pretend that their accomplishments were not earned.

He was definitely overrated, his best scalp is a shot Larry Holmes. His dominant years were a "tallest midget" era in the division.

Not going to say Tyson was overrated, he was the perfect person for the time. I agree that Ali would put him in a mental hurt locker in a hypothetical fight.

I was young at the time, but I recall no issues of him ducking fights or getting caught in all the political bs that boxing is famous for.

If he was that much better than his challengers, I struggle to call hin overrated. If half his game was intimidation, I'd say it was just another tool in his bag.

His mental instability and vices would be his undoing, not his talent.
