Muschamp as DC?

I seriously don't understand how Vol fans want Will to be about of us?

Is this some kind of sick joke? Seriously?

Muschamp will get one more year just coz of the injuries. If we have one more abysmal year and Butch has to get rid of people, then the timing might be right.

But then, texas might also fire their coach next year and could get interesting.

What you posted is the equivalent of stating that you wouldn't take Saban because we can't handle another coaching change. It's a ridiculous position.

saban doesn't suck as a head coach...muschump does,,, let us get some talent and depth, then judge the coaches,,,but how can you compare those 2 is beyond me

-Western KY scored 20.
-Oregon scored 59.
-Florida...FLORIDA scored 31.
-South Alabama scored 24.
-Bama scored 45.
-Mizzou scored 31.
-Auburn scored 55.

Even after including a stat-padding shutout against Austin Peay, our defense gives up an average of 30 points per game over the 11 games they've played so far.

I agree that the offense is not where it needs to be, but you can't say our defense isn't the problem.

If our offense could sustain drives and score points our D wouldn't be on the field as often to give up so many points. We haven't thrown a TD pass in 4 games. Let that sink in.

As much as I believe that Jancek will never do well as an SEC defensive coordinator, Butch is going to keep his staff his entire tenure at the university. For better or worse, he is going to either win with them or crash and burn with them. Only time will tell whether or not Butch's hiring, and his retention of assistants plays out to the advantage of UT football.

If this post is true, I drop his chances of succeeding here dramatically.

That said, I believe he is a little more intelligent than that. Surely.

If we get Muschamp, doesn't drastically increase our chances to get Adoree Jackson? and probably other top caliber defensive talent??

Butch is not changing any coaches. someone could get a better offer and leave but Butch likes his guys

I like the current staff too.

For the first time since Fulmer departed, the program is heading in the right direction. The coaches have made every player on the squad better. I don't know if that's happened since the 1990's, honestly. :hi:

He's had them on staff for awhile, next year we are going to be starting a bunch of freshmen, and still have little to no depth, and the defense is probably not going to be any better. 2015 will be the make or break year for Jancek, and with three recruiting classes that are all his, if he can't scheme and coach with his own hand-picked players, then it will probably be either fire Jancek or Butch.

I think he's gonna need new coordinators to compete for and win the east.

...as our new DC. Auburn hired Ellis Johnson after he was fired as HC of Southern Miss. That's a move CBJ should have made. A PROVEN SEC caliber DC.

Butch should know better than anyone how dominating that Florida defense was, when we played them. They were better than even Bamer's, IMHO. They've been decimated by injuries since they played us and that's why their season has taken a nose dive.

He might very well be a stinker of a HC, but we'd be hard pressed to find a better DC. Plus he now has recruiting relationships deep into Florida and Texas. Two honey holes for football talent.

Even if Coach Jones thinks Janzek might work out...better to go with a known quantity than an unknown.

That would require forward thinking and we never do that. We will let him end up at a rival.

Muschamp isn't going anywhere. And if he does it certainly won't be to work under a head coach he has already beaten.

If Muschamp gets fired his next move would either be an HC job at a smaller school or a DC job for a current Top 10 program.

Muschamp has another year....I'd say UF will clear house in the way of assistants though. Here is to hoping our RB coach doesn't want to go back to his Alma Mater!

Nah. CBJ will stick by Jancek and will not make any moves.

you are right and it will cost him in the end. Jancek is not the answer.
you ever tell any UGA fan that you don't want them to get rid of Richt , cause they might actually get a good coach. Well now that is all I have heard from the mutt fans here. Don't get rid of Jancek and Martinez.
I use to make fun of them when they had Martinez and the 3 coaches they had, they could not wait for them to get fired. Well Jancek was the 2nd one I don't remember who the 3rd coach was but now 2 of them are on our staff and they love it. In the end they got the last laugh.

This was my thinking exactly, I am hoping that CRG doesn't want to go down to Florida and the only way if fired, Muschamp is a DC is with his friend Kirby Smart at Alabama assuming CNS leaves or at Texas with his friend CNS who decided to leave.
