Muschamp as DC?

Lmao clean house after year one yep should solve everything. Not like we need any stability or anything. Weve had 3 DCs in 3 years hell lets keep it going and make it 4.

Idiots.

Great post. This is true and has a lot to do with they way these kids have played but for some reason all the people here want to do is blame the coaches. Not only did they have to teach them a new scheme they had to deprogram the crap they have had to endure for the past 3 years and no one seems to see this.

And if he got fired he still would not want to come to Knoxville. Especially as a OC.

Really? Auburn replaced their whole staff this year and they seem to be doing fine.

I'd rather us roll out the red carpet with a fat offer to Stanford's DC. They don't have any more talent/speed, overall, than what we had (on defense), but you can clearly see them playing like a well-coached unit...and they've beaten Oregon 3 times in a row, I believe.

Auburn has had great recruiting classes the last 4 years with almost zero attrition. UT has lost most of our most atheletic signees over the last 3 years to the draft, being thrown off the team, or quitting. This isn't going to a wick fix. 2 more years of good recruiting after this year is what it will take to start to see marked improvements.

Some of the players on the team are their own worst enemies on the football field. It has been happening to them for 3 or 4 years now.

we will know/if cbj gets it.. if thigpen leaves for/a lateral move/then u know/cbj doesnt get it.. dools-staff left in droves.. so if people start leaving other than best staff.. oh no..

sunshine sheep u can only hold on for/so long.. u guys were saying the/same thing with dools n how/did that turn out..

rec is great but no one has sign loi yet.

losing to vandy is like kent with dools.. no freaking excuse ever..

Before you post again, please go back to elementary school, and pay attention this time. I'm not trying to be funny. Your inability to put together a coherent, grammatically halfway-decent sentence is maddening.

...and what the hell do you think a slash is for?

No idea what this current staff can do. Too many voids in talent, experience, and give a damn to win.

I'm going to repeat a post I made in another thread a week or so back which made this same exact claim....

You guys are seriously overstating Auburn's "outstanding recruiting". A high amount of Auburn's top rated signees over the past few years are no longer on the team due to off-field and/or academic issues. Of the ones that ARE still on this team; several of them are still not doing much of anything under Malzahn's staff because they were more or less tarnished by Chizik's inability to develop players. There is talent on this team (to go 9-1 in this conference means there has to be some talent somewhere), but to state Auburn's "Top 10 recruiting classes" as some sort of indicator that this team is stacked is absurd. Lets look at the reality of the situation, and you will quickly see that the majority of the players that bolstered those "highly ranked" AU signing classes have next to nothing to do with this year's success:

2012 Class: #10 on Rivals, 13 4-stars total
4* Shane Callahan: Not on 2-deep depth chart, doesn't play
4* Jordan Diamond: Injury probs, backup OL
4* Javiere Mitchell: Undersized; 3rd string player, barely plays
4* Tyler Nero: ~3rd string DL, barely plays
4* Ricky Parks: Kicked off the team
4* Jovon Robinson: You guys know this one; currently at JUCO
4* JaQuay Williams: Didn't qualify, signed with A&M after Prep School
7 of 14 4-star recruits are Non-Impact Players or No Longer on Team

2011 Class: #7 on Rivals, 13 4-stars, 1 5-star total
4* Jaylon Denson: Blew his knee out early this year; only a blocking receiver when he did play
4* Erique Florence: Left the team, attitude/behavior problems
4* Kiehl Frazier: Uber-bust, blocking receiver now...doesn't really play
4* Brandon Fulse: Suspended earlier this year, back on team, but not much more than a blocking TE
4* Jonathon Rose: Left the team, transferred to Nebraska
4* Christian Westerman: Left the team, transferred to Arizona State
6 of 14 4-star or better recruits are Non-Impact Players or No Longer on Team. *5-star Kris Frost splits time with one of the worst Linebackers in recent SEC history (Jake Holland)

2010 Class: #4 on Rivals, 13 4-stars, 3 5-stars total

5* Shon Coleman: Cancer story. Backup OL, rarely plays
5* Mike Dyer: Kicked off the team
5* JUCO Cam Newton: No longer on team, obviously
4* JUCO Joel Bonomolo: Huge bust, didn't do anything...no longer on team
4* JUCO Roszell Gayden: Huge bust, didn't do anything...no longer on team
4* Antonio Goodwin: Part of the Burglary Bunch, in prison I believe
4* Jake Holland: "Semi-starting" LB, but the worst LB in the conference and a liability
4* Corey Lemonier: Left for the NFL early, not on team
4* Eric Mack: Shot in the ass during the AU murders a few years ago, no longer on team
4* JUCO Brandon Mosely: Currently in the NFL, no longer on team
4* Trovon Reed: Huge bust; barely does anything
4* Jeremy Richardson: Never qualified
4* Craig Sanders: Special Teams and 3rd-string DL
4* Jeff Whittaker: Blew out his knee at start of season; huge bust up until that point anyway
14 of 16 4-star or better recruits are Non-Impact Players or No Longer on Team.

What if Will Muschamp gets fired at the end of the season, we hire him as our defensive coordinator, and Adoree and David Sharpe follow along.

Won't happen because it makes sense and might improve the program. Richt will be pressured to hire him fo sho and if he doesn't he better win the east next year or risk replacement by the guy he refused to hire.

Can't be serious. A 4th DC in 4 years is good for the program? Ever consider that's kinda what got us in this mess?

Wow. The level of stupidity.

I don't want a guy who loses when an inferior opponent doesn't complete a single pass and rushes for 435+ yards.

Even through all the injuries, they are still more vastly talented than Georgia Southern. No excuse for that.

Muschump can stay at UF. Sharpe and Adoree won't make or break this class... And I highly doubt they follow him if he were to leave UF, but stranger things have happened

I wouldn't mind it but it's not gonna happen and I think cbj is to loyal to his guys. The only changes I can see Is Tommy thig leaving for a better job

When florida lets muschump go, I'd say he'll have several hc offers. He has an 11 win season with outside nc chance on his hc resume. Someones gonna want him. Maybe if he feels betrayed by fla, he'd consider coming here to try and damage them, but...yeah that's not gonna happen.
