I may be misunderstanding what you're saying cause he was about as good of a fit as there was from a culture standpoint. He grew up in Gainesville, that makes him a pretty solid fit.

Which is a huge error on your guy's part.

I'd prefer you guys get someone inept. But if I was a neutral fan, I'd say passing McNeil over is a serious lack of judgment on your AD's part.

Florida may want the big name splash not unlike us, but sometimes you bite the bullet and go with someone who has proven themselves to be an up and comer. And McNeil has done some seriously good things with far less talent than Florida could get or has currently.

Kelly isn't going to UF. The Eagles are probably going to be in the playoffs. He won't even be available to interview until peak hiring season is over.

Finebaum hinted pretty broadly that he believed Muschamp would wind up at SC.

On SEC Nation this morning, they tossed around the question of whether Muschamp would be coaching next year at a school making a run for the natty, and Finebaum said no, that he wouldn't be at a school that strong. When asked if that meant that Muschamp wouldn't be in the SEC, he said he'd be in the SEC, but not for a national contender.

It's logical --he and Spurrier are friends, God knows that SC needs a better defense, and Spurrier has to retire eventually.
