Was Muschamp ever a HC anywhere? I can't believe the Gatornation is allowing him to cut his HC teeth at their program.

I guess you have o hire a Saban guy to win.

Not at all. Muschamp just does not wow me as a fan. His defense has never been super so not sure how he gets so much praise. Hes a fireball and hes a great recruiter but guess what, so is Dooley.

I guess it all comes down to his staff, but as far as the head coach hire, not worried at all.

The ball is in Miami's court now. The right hire could start the shift of power in Florida once again. It is about time.

CDD will face both CWM and CNS every year at TN's biggest two rivals. He knows both well so hopefully CDD ends up on top!

Well, Muschamp turned the Vols job down and then recommended Dooley to Mike. We were high on him as a hire last year but he dissed us.
A lot can change in a year. The Texas defense was kind of pathetic this year. I think we lucked out and came out with the better HC.

He turned us down because he thought it was too tough of a rebuilding job. Plus, the instability at Texas this year compared to last season pointed to the move to Florida being at the right time.

The UT job when/if it was offered to him was not an attractive job to many. The roster was in bad shape and the program was in disarray. It wasn't a diss to UT IMO... just a career calculation.

Florida: There are multiple reports that Muschamp has offered the defensive coordinator position to Kirby Smart. We are waiting to hear more regarding Lance Thompson.

Don't know how reliable footballscoop.com is but...
