Muschamp to Auburn as DC

As Muschamp said, Auburn's up tempo offense is a bit of a myth. They averaged 2 more plays per game than UF. As anemic as UF's offense was. Not sure if that means other teams tried to run clock vs AU and limit their possessions or what. But considering how UF's offense couldn't stay on the field that's an interesting stat.

It's sort of a weird stat, becaue AU was only on the field briefly in some games they won comfortably.

During the last three games of the year, AU had 13 more plays per game than UF. Both teams played a couple of decent opponents and one canon fodder team during that span.

Didn't Florida just hire Mississippi state's Dcord? Should elicit staff turnover if that's the case.

Word is....

Coach Mac wants to keep Summers and TRob. Summers has already agreed to stay.

The rest of the staff is gone.

Most folks now expect TRob to stay at Florida instead of leaving with Muschamp for Auburn.

He is actively on the recruiting trail with Florida's new HC

The only anxiety is what kind of recruiting class can these guys put together this year.

Normally, a 1st recruiting class isn't all that great, and no one would be upset with the current staff if it isn't. Also, it normally wouldn't be that big a deal either.

However, the problem, imo, is the cupboard is bare in a few spots and they can't afford to have the normal mulligan 1st recruiting class. That, combined with the fact that there were some truly elite players that Elmer Fudd would have been able to sign to Florida this year, but unfortunately.....Florida had worse than Elmer Fudd as a head coach so I don't know how many of those guys they will land.

But, replacing the staff is far more important than any possible initial step backward or sideways
