Muslims behead yet another person

Most won't argue the 10% radical number. Want to do the math?

The Math:

Radical leaders like Anwar al-Awlaki have advocated for and allegedly inspired attacks against the U.S. in the name of Islamic jihad. Events like last year’s attempted Christmas Day bomb plot, the Fort Hood shooting and plans to attack Times Square, all tied to Muslim suspects, have caused many Americans to accuse Muslims as a whole as being affiliated with terrorists, though only a tiny minority are involved with these activities.

But just how small is that number?

On his radio program last week, Glenn Beck estimated 10 percent. If you do the math, with 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide, that comes out to 160 million Islamic terrorists.

Fareed Zakaria, international journalist and CNN host, called Beck out on his gross overestimation during his show Sunday.

Zakaria noted that, according to the State Department, there were around 11,000 terrorist attacks committed in the world in 2009. He said he would be “generous” to Beck and assume that a hundred people carried out each attack — even though, in reality, most involved from one to three people.

“One hundred people times 11,000 terror attacks equals 1,100,000 people,” Zakaria said. “But Glenn Beck’s figure is 157 times higher than that. If in fact there are 157 million Muslim terrorists in the world, what would the other 155,900,000 of them doing last year?”

I have no clue how that plays in to what we were just talking about.

If you can't see it, I'm not going back and explain it further. I'm done. I'm extremely tolerant of other religions but I take extreme offense to anyone that tries to place Christianity on even the same plane with radical Islam. Good day. :hi:

The key word is interpretation, Christians aren't calling for jihad and sharia, not to mention lopping off peoples domes who disagree with their philosophy in regards to religion . Time to take these suckers our and show some strength , Barry's policy's of appeasement have exacerbated the violence in the Middle East .

You are correct, most suggest drone attacks, but I have seen a few who suggest nukes.

Like I said, it's all conjecture. You can believe what you want, I'll believe what I think is true. Good day to you. :hi:

Absolutely agree on the KKK.

Now I'm no scholar on these things so bear with me. Here are the ones I'm not seeing a history of violence or terrorism on. (Or have no known connection to the Christian faith)

Crew 38
Free America Rally
League of the South
Tennessee Freedom Coalition
Political Cesspool
Shepherds Call Ministry

I'm still researching on some of the others.

I need to take a nap but I'll do some research and get back to you. Most organizations that preach hate are hard to tie back to specific acts of violence because you don't always know who there members are and like all other hate groups they use the lone wolf model to prevent things from being tied back to them.

But I'll make an effort. I'm just recovering from a surgery and need a bit of rest.

No worries at all. Hope everything went well. Heal up :)

That's the main difference I see. Christians want to distance themselves from any organizations that are similar to the KKK. When's the last time you saw a Muslim cleric go on the evening news condemning these actions?

I agree. This is how I see it as well. You don't see many Muslims speak out against such things (believe the same, fear, ignorance could all be reasons) whereas Christian groups tend to preach love and distance themselves from the violent few.

Just an observation. Carry on. :)

In fairness, that does not include those who are sympathizers and give money or help in other ways. That is the bigger problem than the guys carrying out the attacks.

Same as in the hood. The gangs are not as big of a problem as those who refuse to cooperate with police to get the thugs off their streets.

To be fair, if I was a Muslim cleric, even in this country, I'm not sure how vocal I would be due to the fear of retaliation.

You did see where the guy rounded up to 100 terrorists per attack, right?

Rounding up to 1,000 (1 to perpetrate and 999 'support personnel', still leaves a 10% estimate ridiculously inflated.

Here are some things I've learned from my time on VolNation Politics Forum.

Unless you're a masochist, DON'T...

1. Get involved in discussions about religion, particularly those involving Islam and Christianity.

2. Get involved in discussions about homosexuality and whether or not it's right or wrong.

3. Get involved in discussions that pit liberal v. conservative. You can't win, no matter what side you're own.

4. Get involved in philosophical debates, particularly if TRUT comes along. He will argue your ass half-to-death, and the next thing you know, half the day has gone by.

5. Get involved in discussions concerning race, particularly when black people are involved. And especially when black people and welfare are involved.

Basically, just don't even post on VolNation Politics Forum, I guess. Should you choose to do so, however, do it like a shower: quick-in, quick-out.

Thanks mom.

You are buying into the premise that sympathizers are as low as 100x or 1000x per attack. I do not buy such a premise.
