But they did. I would take Biliema (sp?) In a heartbeat over Gundy or Strong. Why couldn't we make a lateral hire? Why do we have to go to a lower tier program for our coach? Why not go after Kevin Sumlin or the guy from Oregon (Kelly?).

We can't get it right for nothing. :banghead2:

I wasn't aware our coaching decision was final. I guess I missed the press conference.

Just because you repeat a lie over and over doesn't make it true. See gruden thread. Arkansas DID get the better hire if we indeed get Strong. Far better W/L record

If W's and L's at the current school is the only thing you care about, then obviously Purdue and NC State won the coaching carousel. If the school we all cared about was in the midwest, then fine, Bielema is a good hire. He IS NOT A GOOD FIT IN THE SEC! I would have been furious if we hired this guy with ZERO connection to the SEC territory and connections to fertile recruiting grounds. They can have him and have fun being 6-6 for the next 4 years.

Beliema underachieved with an extremely talented team. Did you see what Wisconsin did to Nebraska? They were capable of playing on that level for the majority of the season. Strong has more SEC experience. The SEC is a totally different league, even compared to the Big 10 or 12. Him and Strong would be about even on strength of hire.

You got to hand to Arky-that is a great hire for them. His record against Big 10 more favorable that Strong's in the Big East. You never know how any coach will perform at a new school, but Bielma has demonstrated for a good period of time that he can coach.

The guy that cried about Urban talking to committed recruits because its not done that way in the SEC? Well he is in for a shock in the SEC.

Plenty of successful coaches here in the SEC with little to no background in the SEC. Your point is not taken.
