Why bring up FSU or Maryland? One of the biggest ACC homers in the land(Dick Vitale) didn't have much of a beef with neither of them not getting invited. His biggest beefs were with Missouri State and Cincy.

I have no explanation for Cincy. Nobody does. They should have been in. Probably at the expense of Utah State or Air Force. Just tough luck that Cuse went on that run.

Yeah, I agree Hotlanta. He really reminds me of the guy that in a public place will try to one up anyone around by either blurting out some tidbit of useful knowledge or bring up how he just got a brand new ______.

As far as quality wins go, you don't have to have 4 or 5 big wins to get into the tourney. RPI, SOS, Conf RPI, and big losses are a bigger factor in getting in.

His indication that he is an attorney (or involved with law) is telling. While I have some very good attorney friends, quite a few of them can't step outside of "argument mode" when not in court or the law office. It's sad, really. Opinions are like a**holes, to borrow a cliche, and hatvol has 96 of them!

And it is still quite funny how you haven't said who you think the PG will be next year nor brought up any all white teams in the tourney. Hmmm, mouth meet foot I suppose.
I addressed your second point in an earlier post. I'll assume either the point went over your head, or you simply didn't read it. As to the PG situation, I will continue to say Pearl will bring in a JC or another High School kid. That's not a dodge, that's simply taking the position that next year's point guard isn't on the roster yet. If forced to choode among known options, I'll go with Tabb and Howell splitting time, with Johnson running the team from the three spot, a la Antoine Walker or Jalen Rose, occasionally.

nah the acc should have got another team in instead of NC state

Until this tailspin they started...they were a top 15 team for most of the yr in beating GW, BC, and Bama

Ooh. I'll have to completely reevaluate my life. Your rebuke has really given me food for thought. By the way, maybe you can help your buddy 58 out. Do you know of any nonconference wins of substance by Creighton or Missouri State?

You may not consider this a quality non-conference win, but Creighton did beat Xavier on December 18th, 61-59. Considering how well Xavier played Gonzaga, I'd consider that a quality win.

No, it isn't that it went over my head or that I didn't read it, it is that you don't answer questions most of the time. You jump to a different point. You dodge questions.

As far as the PG, that is the same thing I think, but I don't think we will sign another PG unless it is Tim Crowell. As I said earlier, it was said by a radio analyst on the radio that CBP thinks Ramar Smith is on our ship. I don't think we will take any others if we get Smith, though one could clear up if Passley is gone.

To attack someone verbally isn't what a debate should be.
Let's just say the teams that got blown out probably should have never made it to start with.

I don't see a case for Missouri State. The MVC commissioner admitted they scheduled with RPI manipulation in mind. They scheduled a bunch of road games against teams that would fall between 100-150 in the RPI. That gets them points for road wins, wihout crushing their RPI with a bunch of teams between 250-300. Then inside the conference they would be able to say they have all these games against top 50 RPI teams by playing each other. I credit the ingenuity, I just wouldn't have rewarded it with 4 bids. By the way 58, you're actually an OK guy. Cincinnati getting snubbed has really made me irate. I shouldn't take it out on people just trying to have a discussion.

A good win. But at home. It's a game they should win. My point is that Cincinnati won against LSU on a neutral floor, and to a lesser degree of importance, at Vanderbilt. There aren't wins like that on either MVC teams resume.

Kansas and UT take care of business and rid the tournament completely of the scourge of MVC teams. They didn't deserve the bids. Watching them get exterminated makes the Selection Committee look ridiculous, as they should this year.

Don't even get me started about George Mason. I don't want a precedent set that puts these cute little stories in the tournament over actual quality teams.

have they shut you up yet?

My beef with George Mason was twofold. One, they have a suspended starter, so they're not the same team in the tournament that compiled their resume. Second, they lost twice to Hofstra, once on a neutral floor. If the Colonial was going to get two bids, the Pride should have gotten the other one.

Great point, still can't deny that right now, George Mason is playing like they deserve to be there.
