some of the people taking that stance spent years and 1000's of dollars at UT and have spent $1000's since they left and can say or do whatever the hell they want to, imo, and need not worry about being judged by those that have done neither.
for 1 defensive play where everybody watching, including mcrae, saw the lob coming several seconds prior. He just got off balance and barely got in the air. Bad positioning as well. Shoulders needed to be open a little so he could see what was going on
I feel like if I didn't support the Vols because they didn't hire the 1 coach I wanted then I'm not a true fan.
To me there's a lot wrong with saying you'll only support Tennessee if Bruce Pearl is hired, that's borderline pathetic IMO and not being a true fan. I get they want to win, but others can win here, he's not the only one.
And you can also make an argument then that he's as close to a sure thing to make an idiotic mistake and get us in trouble? No.
I've dumped friends before that I tried to support and help over a couple of decades. There comes a time when some get tired enough of the bs to move on. Life happens. Kids happen. Bad stuff happens. Good stuff happens. Basketball becomes insignificant. BP not being hired will be just the straw for some. I know others that have already stopped watching, caring, or paying anymore, and it has nothing to do with anything but boring, losing basketball.
Who cares if you think they are a true fan or not.
You asked my opinion and I gave it.
A fan that'll come and go as a fan based on if it's fun to watch, or only if we're winning is just as good as a bandwagon fan IMO. Go root for Kentucky in basketball and Alabama in football, they're fun to watch.
U were an adamant Zo admirer for 2+ yrs......that's the same as saying u don't like fun winning basketball lol
You sure are pushing M white. That's like saying people excited about Butch on the field for year 2 are foolish. Martin had a better year 1 than Butch, he to me overachieved with what he had, I was excited about year 2. Maymon went down and we never seemed to recover, it was disappointing. My stance has been the same for the last 10 months on year 3, no excuses, gotta make the dance.
Winning is fun to me, I don't care if it's Tony Bennett style 52-45 or Michael White style 92-87, winning is fun.
