My Thoughts Thus Far

1) Freak is true gentleman and a class act all the way. That being said, I need 2 tickets to UGA.

2) I like Worley and I fully appreciate that he is our best and, honestly, our only current option at Qb, but we will not upset anyone unless he gets the ball out much quicker. His level of play must be elevated if we are going to win one we shouldnt.

3) Im starting to think UF might be out biggest chance at an upset. Im shocked at how abysmal their O is this year.

4) So long Mo, hate it because we needed your production. I understand why you did it, but rules are rules.

5) Vincent Dallas need to duplicate his WKU production against the Ducks.

6) Im willing to bet CJJ hasnt slept all week.

7) This is how you beat the Ducks The NFL

8) Still waiting for our Oline to just blow someone off the ball when everyone knows what's coming. I want a 1st and goal at the 2 followed by the Dline knocked 4 yards into the end zone. Our guys have all the ability, but seem to lack the road-grader mentality.

9) How sweet is it to see Lane struggle in the bright lights of SoCal? What goes around...

10) My heart says the Vols dont get embarrassed Saturday, but my head says we lose 42 to 17.

(9) I hope you don't mean "Marlin LANE"

My thoughts thus far:

If we get in trouble over this stuff, Bray better stay away from the U.T. campus until he is 90 years old.

I feel ya brother. I also think that UF is our biggest chance at an "upset", but then again they lost to Miami and looked awful. I fully expect them to not be in the top 25 by seasons end.

Don't be lulled to sleep regarding the Fla game..... can't say how many times its been thought we were set to up to beat Florida, only to get the crap kicked out of us come game day. On paper it looks like a possible upset, but until it happens I ain't gonna jump on the we're gonna beat Florida bandwagon.

I think we have a better chance to upset So Car or Georgia at home than Fla on the road.... sorry, just been burned too many times.

....and might I add with NO players even drafted into the NFL from Stanford D. Those boys are smart though. We better be too.

They returned everyone. I was hoping Skov and Tarpley to go early. That d is littered with 1ST day talent: Skov, Tarpley, Carter, Richards, Reynolds, etc.

I truly believe that Worley will start every game this year unless he gets hurt. I also believe that we haven't shown of our O the first 2 games. They opened it up a little in the 3rd quarter of the WKY game. I really think that we will see a lot more this week. JMO

I don't evaluate us until we play a real team. We've been very vanilla. A reporter said we ran the same play 14 times against WKY. However, the second half of that game CBJ opened up the playbook a little. I do believe that the mighty ducks will be in for a suprise saturday.

my greatest concern is the overall speed of the Ducks, can we contain them? Also, I worry that this is the game that UO wants to use to show the world the pac 12 is on par with the SEC.

Send Mr. Nouwen a spelling book. :p

1. Cover the spread.

2. If it gets out of hand, just play Dobbs/Ferguson/Peterman. No point at not seeing what else we are working with against that level of competition.

3. Don't give up.

4. We care 10x more about UF than UO.

5. 1 loss (although i'm going with the upset until i see 0:00) is not the end of the season.

Like another poster said yesterday, "Championship Case".

I dont get how you take the best team in the pac 12 and pair them with one of the worst in the SEC over the last 4 years and say this is how we will measure the two conferences??

I'm not directing this at you specifically, just stating an opinon since I know that's how some would take it.

Let them have a shot at Bama, Georgia, or LSU if people want a pissing contest. We'll take a USC matchup :)

Or better yet, come back to Neyland next year.

the pac12 IS on a par with the SEC, the problem is getting espn and the BCS computers to admit it.

if you get thrashed tomorrow by 50 by a team from a conference that is "not on par" with your conference then youve pretty much admitted that tennessee is the runt of the litter.

Doesn't seem to matter how they look before they play us - we always have a way of making them look like a top 10 team. Hopefully CBJ can buck the trend this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pound us like they normally do.

Now, when CBJ gets his talent in and really gets rolling, I fully expect this to change!

I wish they didn't have a bye week to work out the kinks.

I totally agree with you especially on the subject on Worley he is going to have to step up in a big way for us to compete in the sec. Them under throwed balls he got away with in our first two games isn't going to work against stiffer competition. The QB is the spark plug for the offense. We have to have somebody to step up. GO VOLS!

We better. My wife surprised me with tickets. We live in FLOR-A-DUH.

Oh and last Tennessee game I was at was the 2001 rescheduled game at the swamp where Travis Stephens ran all over Florida. Hope we have a repeat. In 4th Qtr when looked like we might win a Florida fan sitting few rows in front of me turned around, pointed at me, and said "you better hope you guys don't win!" We did and it was a QUITE place on the way out of the stadium. A little serreal.

And they're gonna do that by scheduling us?
