Look...The NCAA is Ohio State, LSU, Boise State, La. Tech and everybody in between.
Which is why I'm not making it a blanket win/loss for everyone. An us vs them mentality exists between large and small athletic schools. Sure the NCAA will appeal, but the SEC, Big 12, Big 10, ect aren't weeping over this ruling. They saw it coming, as did everyone. They, the Power 5, already argued for and won the right to pay their players before the ruling was made. The smaller schools have fought the large school over player benefits.
I'm not saying the universities didn't work the system to their favor when they could. That much was obvious. But the smaller school are the ones that will lose in this. They know they can't compete with big budget schools when it comes to paying players.
I agree there will be more lawsuits coming from somewhere as a result of this ruling. Too much money for there not to be. And so far, this initial ruling doesn't sound like athletes are going to be paid the big $$$ some people thought.
