Name your most hated ESPN analyst

merril hodge (because he trashes VY nonstop and gets in his head and i am a titans fan) and every one of them that is a member of "red sox nation"

no joke?

Jonathan Coachman made his debut on ESPNEWS today as an anchor. He was seen calling MLB highlights from the Cubs game. It appears this will be his role within ESPN unless things change. There are rumors however that ESPN plans to turn him heel in the near future. (wink, wink)

From reading the posts, it is easy to determine the following things:

* Most of you don't like anything or anyone concerned with ESPN

* Most don't know the difference between an analyst and a play-by-play announcer. They are two different things entirely. Brent Musburger is a play-by-play and had never worked as an analyst. Chris Fowler is a host and very rarely analyzes, just sort of summarizes. Rome is a personality, and whether you like him or not, he is generally "spot on" with his analysis.

* Objectivity isn't one of the traits shared by the posters in this thread

I want to see if everyone agrees on the worst or most hated ESPN analyst.

Mine personally is Brent Musberger. I couldn't stand to listen to him during last years Cal game because of the ridiculous stuff that comes out of his mouth. He kept pokin fun at the SEC every time Cal scored.

Good call. He blows mad chunks.

Another thing about Hodge is how defensive he gets when someone disagrees with him or counters a point he's just made. He genuinely looks pissed sometimes, and taken aback that someone would dare challenge the knowledge he accumulated by taking half a dozen concussions.
