NASCAR bans the confederate flag

Umm, I’ve been under the impression that 1972 Grad is like Moses old from reading posts in the PF over the years and that almost everyone else here not eligible for AARP could be his kid. Have I been mistaken in that?

He is and just pines for the old days when a racist joke or insult was acceptable

Since he called me a racist, and your take is that I used "intentionally veiled language," then I might as well be one. It's been nice knowing some of you folks, and some of you will be missed. If a person calls me a name, he gets called one back. I am happy that you have become the arbiter of what is and isn't acceptable on the forum. With that, I join Grand Vol and Hunerwadel in retirement.
I hold you to a higher standard simply because you are older and wiser. Sorry to offend. Prefer you to not go for good.

maybe because nearly every major story of "racist graffiti, racist messages on waitresses' tickets, racist nooses" etc, have almost all been shown to be hoaxes perpetrated by minorities for attention?
Remember these incidents? Waiter who faked 'racist' receipt the latest to use shocking claims to get Facebook love

But the Saltgrass Steak House, which had initially defended Cavil and banned the patron from returning to the restaurant, had to apologize and offer the wronged customer a free meal.

“After further investigation, we have learned that our employee fabricated the entire story,” Saltgrass Steak House COO Terry Turney said Monday, in a statement to the Odessa American. “The customer has been contacted and invited back to our restaurant to dine on us.”

A free meal after humiliating him!!!!

Wait, are you seriously saying that you shouldn't wait for the facts to come out before making a judgement?
That's exactly what he's said, either he's framed his statement poorly or he's let his bias show through. Which is exactly why you wait for facts before jumping to conclusions but that's became the default setting on this subject recently.

Darryl Davis should be in charge of race relations in America.

ETA: Nice work on the cleanup in this thread...whoever you are.
Just looked him up and I agree with that...... it really is that simple....53% of the population is white compared to 13% is black.... There are a lot of white people that never interact with black people.... All they know about African-Americans is what they see on tv.... They only show the bad side and even the leaders that they constantly show are not good examples of African-Americans. It reminds me of my cousin going up north to visit family.... The next door neighbor was extremely disappointed bc they couldn’t believe he wore nikes and drove a celica at the time.... They expected him to come rolling in like th Beverly hill billies.

There are too many dumb statements to respond to. This takes the cake.

The racist mindset in a nutshell. You are hopeless
I'm curious, are you saying false allegations of racism never occur? Not even speaking about this Bubba Wallace incident. And going back to your original statement where you brought up rape, are you suggesting false allegations of rape never occur?

I just want to know what wrong with asking for facts/proof.

Basically. It's just like a rape victim. You don't question the victim of the crime.

It's always the racist who claims there is no racism who wants all kind of csi evidence whenever there is a racist incident.

Bullshot! If we exclude victims from being questioned you open the floodgates to false accusations.

Believe is making a determination.

Suspect is casting doubt, but not certainty.

Sorta close, but not the same.
Forgive my semantic folly. I think you know the point I'm driving. Is one really any better for suspecting a hoax as opposed to suspecting the allegation is true? At the very least, it paints the presumptive people in a bad light.

Plane with ‘Defund NASCAR,’ Confederate Flag Banner Flies Above Talladega Superspeedway

TALLADEGA, Alabama — It has been a little more than a week since NASCAR instituted a ban on Confederate flags at its facilities.

High above the track an hour prior to the scheduled start of the race was a plane with the Confederate flag and an accompanying message, “Defund NASCAR.”

Why does everyone have to be on either side of the coin. Can a person not ask for facts then make a decision when they get said facts

You changed the language here in this newer post. I hate being a douche about it, but in this case it matters.

It seems to me that if you believe something, you are not as open to contrary evidence, whereas if you suspect something, you are open to having your mind changed by evidence.

Everyone judges initially, nothing odd, or inherently wrong with that. We are human.

Again, sorry to be a douche. I have no real quibble. I’m used to debating leftists and “everything matters” to them. No nuance in their world.

So the next time a black person is accused of a crime against a white person I want the same "wait on hard evidence" energy.

We have a ton of false allegations against black people for crimes. We should always wait on hard evidence including video whenever a white person accuses a black person.

IT doesnt matter if its, white on black, white on white, black on black, black on white. In every case we should wait for the facts. Innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.
