Nascar Loves Gordon

however, I do agree that this race should have never been started today.

Disagree wholeheartedly. I've been completely rained out and partially rained out. If I've made the effort to go to the race - I want to see a race even if it is rain-shortened. Since it's on a Sunday, many/most fans who paid to see the race don't get to see it if it runs on a Monday.

Rain-shortened races are a part of racing. It's not a conspiracy, it's not Gordon love. There was no reason to end the race prior to 1/2 way - it wasn't raining hard enough to merit a caution. If it had been past halfway and raining the same amount, they would have let the race go.

The fact that they didn't throw the yellow on JJ's blown tire showed they wanted to give the race a chance to finish with racing. A yellow then (prior to 1/2 way) would have resulted in a red flag when it started raining a Newman would have never had a chance to pass Gordon.

How do you criticize NASCAR for giving races to Gordon and then argue that NASCAR should have manipulated when they called the race based on who was out in front at the time?

im sayin if they did indeed manipulate the race, why not let someone new win and have a new storyline besides, Gordon wins again

the fact that they didn't throw a caution when Johnson's tire blew out showed that they are tired of rainouts, not that they wanted to give it a chance to finish with racing. That's just more evidence of NASCAR's inconsistency with throwing cautions. Any other day and there is a caution there, but knowing rain is coming, ahh, let them race it out.

Uh... since they're tired of rainous, doesn't that mean they want them to finish with racing?
