Nashville Forecast 90 Degrees.

1997 UCLA was nowhere close to 91 UCLA. I was at both. 97 was hot, 91 was dangerous.

My wife, among many others, would disagree with that.. she was at both. She left the stadium in Pasadena (as did hundreds of Tennessee fans) but not in 91. I mean, I would try to say which was hotter. Both were hot... hard to deal with hot.

Hell I remember seeing us play GA back in 07 at home in early October and I thought I was going to spontaneously combust! The heat that day was oppressive! Especially for that time of year.

2007 was the year that East Tennessee had 30+ days where the highs were at or over 100 degrees. No rain either. That was a terrible summer.

I think Vandy plays at 6 pm in the same town if you need less heat. As for me I will be at the TN game section 204,. I will be the one wearing orange if you are looking for me.

When I moved to Texas in 2011, it was 90 days over 100 F (over 110 most days). I worked outdoors and adapted. The key was to stay hydrated.

The colleges along the coast are used to higher temperatures and adapt accordingly.

Remember attending an opening day game at Shields Watkins Field back in the early 2000s and temp was 90 with zero clouds and or wind. We took our Beacons and made hats out of them but, with all the sweat, the hats literally melted onto our heads. Oh what fun times!!
Probably the Fresno State game in ‘03. That one was toasty.

I think UCLA 91 in Knoxville was hottest game I remember.
The hottest I remember was '86 at Auburn. Brand new stadium, brand new turf, bright sunshine what a blast! 100+on the field during the game, not sure how high the heat index was. I can only imagine how the players felt , because it was miserable for 13 minutes wearing a dark blue wool uniform with a leather vest and a plastic hat on. A few in the band passed out at the end of halftime. I spent the entire second half helping to carry band members and fans out of the stands and into the tunnel to be taken care of by the medical staff.

Vandy should help to cool down the entire town of Nashville!

Had opportunity to go to this game but declined due to heat. Body can’t shed heat well anymore since vagus nerve was damaged.

That seems cool compared to the past week in Nashville.

High School games in Mid TN played last Friday NIGHT when them temp was 98 and a "feels like" of 104 at 7 pm.

We have a tropical disturbance coming up from the Gulf. The forecast could change.
The tropical storm will veer well East of Nashville if it follows the forecast track

I'm not so sure about that.

That big metal Coca Cola thermometer is not considered official by all.

Probably so, and a little sooner.

I believe the GFS had it slower and a little more west.

It is early in development, so, we will know more in a couple of days.

I say to hell with the TV Networks. Schedule NO Daytime SEC games in August and really Most of September. IF, we are really concerned about "Player Safety". (which is total bs) Furthermore what about Fan Safety? Heat strokes are a real possibility. No common sense in anything anymore. Defend all you want, say we have no choice, that's how people are controlled.

Yeah, Let UT give up millions so the fans, players, and coaches can stay out of the heat they get in a lot of days throughout the summer anyway!
