National Average Price of Gasoline Hits an All-Time High

The masses don't understand that gas refined here isn't necessarily sold here. Fuel companies compete on the world market, our prices are significantly affected by demand on the world market.

Other countries are willing to pay more for our gas than we are. Let's hear a talking head in the money making media discuss that in depth.
Of course.

And every barrel produced here is 1 more barrel on the global market. We need more barrels on the global market.

When you choose “rape and pillage” I already know your preference.

Yep. Mountain conservation conservative. My grandfather bought as much land as he could afford to do his part to save the Cumberland Plateau from being stripped nude by Bowater. He wore his SOCM hat religiously.

That’s not true, gas refined here is sold at a cheaper price here because they don’t have to pay as much for shipping so simply because it is sold on the World market at a higher price doesn’t mean if brings more profits. Don’t dilute yourself into believing other oil producing nations operate in the same manner that we do when it comes to global markets. US government policies absolutely effect the price and production of oil in this nation just like the do in Saudi Arabia or Russia.

No Trump did not. Trump literally wanted to nuke China. The economy has always been fragile because it is based on a false dichotomy that is/was unsustainable. The pandemic pulled the rug and the foundation collapsed. Nobody fears the US they all laugh and are aghast at how ridiculous the country is.

I know there’s nothing that will deprogram your cult thinking. I do find it hilarious that the same people who made Kenneth Copeland and Joel Osteen rich and famous can’t see that sane evangelical snake oil salesman in Trump. Every business Trump has started has gone bankrupt. Trump just used his time as president to enrich himself and his family while making the tax payer suffer.

No, I hate Biden. He sucks.
Wtf are you talking about? Every business Trump has started went bankrupt? Bankruptcy doesn’t build the Trump towers my man. Bankruptcy doesn’t line your pockets in hundred dollar bills without a bottom. Bankruptcy doesn’t land you the presidency of the United States having never been a politician. Trump has always been known as one of the best businessmen in the world so if he filed bankruptcy at any point on any business, I’d be willing to bet he did it for reasons you or I don’t understand. And guess what, when he did, he obviously profited for doing so somehow.

Wow bro, this one take the cake

According to whom, and by what metric?

How do you get from those comments that he is "praising" high gas prices? Ridiculous claim by Fox and by you.

And here's the thing, you are an absolute imbecile if you cannot see, or are unwilling to admit, that he's absolutely right. Fossil fuels by definition are a finite fuel source. We are transitioning - we have no choice. See e.g. EVs, advances in solar, etc. Your argument that he's hastening that for some grandiose plan of switching to other fuels is just moronic. But that is what you and Fox are implying.

When are we running out?

Do I really have to explain? There’s a reason he was the one that coined the phrase “You’re fired”. You think he was the main focal point of that show because he was known to go bankrupt?

If half of the people in our country owned an electric vehicle today, could we provide the energy to operate said vehicle? And how would that electric power be provided?

Are electric vehicles actually a net positive environmentally?

Another question: if we need to drill out own oil, we can do that. Could we make 17 million battery packs from domestically sourced raw material? Or will we be going to war over it in a few short decades?

I asked, when are we running out. Do you have an answer?

Switching to methods prior to said methods being viable, is a stupid argument.

These technologies just don't get turned on with the flip of a switch. Takes time. Evolves. We can't go to the last drop of oil then the next day have every home, industry, and vehicle, run on some other source.

You believe we are near the last drop?

Your first two sentences speaks to the stupidity of constraining fossil fuel access.

But again, when do we run out? I hear the panic in your voice. Surely you have a date range.

Near enough we ought to be working on alternatives, hell yes.

That's never been the argument. The argument is not "should we work on alternatives"? We should work on better alternatives to everything. The question is should we make American's poorer today because you fear the future may be worse tomorrow?
