National Average Price of Gasoline Hits an All-Time High

Just because I regret voting for Biden doesn't mean I won't call out stupid stuff.

The Dems aren't smart enough to create a virus, unleash it just to win an election. China wasn't going to shut down their economy just to get Trump out. Early in 2020, the polls, approval ratings, predictive models, and Vegas odds had Trump losing.

Now, did the Dems take advantage of the virus? Yes, they did.
Dems aren't smart enough to create the virus (Fauci hands all over it, but he is supposed to be neutral) but they are smart enough to create panic and give an out to hide Biden.

Yes and we have refineries down on the Gulf set up to refine that heavy product like that and they are not running at full capacity because of the supply in raw product.

Has this been independently verified?

Both parties tried to politicize it. The Dems did a better job in 2020. Trump wasn't going to win unless Biden monumentally F'ed up. The virus eliminated the potential for that happening.

You mean like being on the campaign trail with a chance to openly speak? The left parlayed it into mail in balloting in the name of social distancing and voter suppression. The equalizer was Biden being exposed and that was taken away by hiding him in a basement reducing the chance of him being seen or exposed to what we are seeing now.

Incumbents (or the incumbent's party) win re-election unless there's a recession during the previous term. It has basically been the rule going back to at least Carter/Reagan. Dubya over Gore in 2000 was an exception.

Yeah I gotta agree. The idiot progressives simply are not intelligent enough to orchestrate a coordinated election steal and not get caught. We have a great example of the stupidity of political criminals in the Watergate theft. The people on both sides are largely slack jawed mouth breathers or they’d be earning major coin in private industry rather than leeching major coin from tax payers. Now uncoordinated pockets of shenanigans? Absolutely they hated and still hate Trump. Won’t ever be able to quit him.

Same on orchestrating a world wide virus. These same political morons would have wiped themselves out in a lab accident. Take advantage of the Chicoms being morons? Absolutely.

It’s a delicate balance to label the competition a moron when you can’t separate from and finish off the competition 🤷‍♂️

I’ll tell you what, you can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take the butcher’s word for it.

Sounds a lot less fun, tbh.

Who is the butcher we are trusting on the refinery stuff?

So the moron in chief is going to invoke the Defense Production Act and force the manufacture of solar panels and solar energy adoption?

This moron, or should I say whoever is really running the country, is doing this on purpose.

Certain Gulf Coast refineries would have already been preparing for and/or implementing revamps to their refineries to be able to handle that heavier crude too.

Hog is correct. We aren't refining at max capacity. Regardless of what anyone says, the truth is this...Canadian oil companies are (even without Keystone XL) expanding existing pipelines to INCREASE oil to the US refineries. There is no chance Canadian oil producers invest the money in infrastructure necessary to increase supply to refineries if those refineries are unable to handle it.
I suspect when we here about refineries at high 90+% capacity, it is relative to current set up or some other variable. If the refining capacity wasn't variable, there is no way foreign oil producers would continue to send product here for refining (and the US is currently the number 1 refiner in the world).

Why was there any doubt?

It’s going to get much worse.

The net result of Joe Biden’s EPA raising the mandatory amount of biofuel that must be present in the U.S. gas supply is this:
(1) Less food as more corn is needed for ethanol.
(2) Higher prices for finished and blended gasoline.
(3) Vehicle engines breaking down at a much higher rate.

The predictable Biden outcome is the absolute worst scenario for the middle-class.

“ExxonMobil (XOM) last month announced first quarter profits of $8.8 billion, more than triple the level of a year ago when excluding special items. It also announced a $30 billion share repurchase plan, far more than the $21 billion to $24 billion it expects to spend on all capital investment, including searching for new oil."

Why is that?

How much did all levels of government get from Exxon and consumers in the form of gas taxes?

Why wouldn’t a company maximize shareholder returns now? The President has promised to eliminate their industry, make hay while the sun shines.
