Yeah, your generation did more to crush and bankrupt this country than any other.

Yep, it’s disgusting how many of my high school classmates turned out to be leftist commie scum. I was fortunate to not to be one of them.

There haven’t been enough of them in government since that generation has been in control of it, no.

What does the year of being born with it have to do with it then? By proclaiming Boomers are the problem, you are buying into identity politics. More ****ing boxes just being born in a 10-20 year gap. Just because our pols are now predominately Boomers, which is expected due to age to achieve office, what does that have to do with past 20 years of this "blame"?

It's a two way street. The boomers are certainly the ones voting for this stuff in the halls of Congress but there's a lot of younger voters that are giving them the opportunity.

We already have Constitutional age minimums for elected offices. Part of me thinks we should also have age limits.

First, I'd like to thank the people who refuse to stop voting Republican and/or Democrat.

I'd like to thank Trump for adding $8T of that debt in just 4 years. I didn't think that level of spending was going to be possible for at least another decade. Masterful work there, old chap. He signed off on over a 1/4 of our national debt in 1 term. Let that sink in.

I'd like to thank Biden for saying "hold my beer."

I'd like to thank all the presidents in my lifetime. Basically everybody in congress. The special interest groups. The media. The educational system. And so on.

National debt surpasses $30 trillion due to COVID, government spending
My man!

I believe as a % of GDP were now at the highest point ever at 130%. We were 120ish after WWII.

This is why I believe the fear of sharply rising interest rates is overblown. The government can't afford high rates (at least on the long end) right now. If the Fed funds rate jumped a couple points, I believe interest expense would be more than national defense.

Japan is lapping the field at 257%

44 years old and this talk has been political talking points for my entire lifetime. "this is what we are leaving our children and grandchildren"

I couldn't care less. I can't do anything about it, because those in charge will continue to run it higher.
One day it's all going to come tumbling down and whoever is alive will be in deep poo. I don't see how we can sustain it another 50 years.
I'll be dead in 50 years. I don't care.

We don’t make anything anymore, our place at the top isn’t long for this world either… I guess that’s why we spend so much on military.
Yet another reason why Chinese imports should be tariffed at tripel or more the current rates. Make AAPL feel the pain of manufacturing elsewhere.

Winner! They won't let me fly airplanes past 65 and I can only kill 300 people at a time. As an 80 year old president/senator/congressman, they can send thousands to their death.

Yep, the only question is when do we run off the cliff.
When the rest of the world determines they have an off ramp in terms of picking a new reserve currency. When we stop looking like something other than the best bad option.

Somebody take away Joe’s Credit Card. He’s gone crazy dude!!!!!
Of course it would help if Mitch would quit agreeing to raise his credit limit 😉
