Call me suspicious of any retired General or Admiral picked by a Democratic President.

I agree. Like I mentioned, I don't know anything about this guy. Also a lot of generals get where they are by being political rather than by merit, so it's really hard to say that it's a blanket endorsement - but it is a step in the right direction hopefully.

This is a systemic problem that was created by the Dulles brothers after WWII. The link between the State Department and CIA is the head of the snake.
