WVU played a zone. They didn't guard against the 3. They guarded against the guards slashing and Cousins dominating down low. UK couldn't make them pay for it(which is the scouting report on UK). WVU will not play a zone against Duke.
They shot 44% from three and their opponent shot like 12%...neither of those things is going to happen on Saturday
What does that change about the fact that the ACC was weak and they had the easiest path to the Final Four as any team in the tournament? I never said they didn't play hard. You need to reread.
How many of Mazulla's and Ebanks points were 3 pointers? 10-23 from 3 point land is good, but it's not hard to do, especially when no one is guarding you. Duke doesn't have the inside defenders that UK has so points won't be so hard to come by as much against Duke.
Duke Sux. The selection committee handed them the title on selection Sunday.
If you ain't got haters you aint got crap.
Did Duke have the easiest road going into the tourney? On the surface, yes. As the tourney played out however Dukes road wasn't any easier than anyone elses. Duke was the best team in the field this year. (hindsight 20/20)
Kentucky and Kansas were better, IMO. Duke just had a favorable hand.
Kentucky, yes, got beat by West Virginia. I still think that Kentucky beats Duke by 5-10 points.
Duke beating West Virginia is equivalent to the West Virginia beating Kentucky game.
West VA had one of those special night shooting the 3 ball against Kentucky. Those types of games are hard to have back to back. Duke had a similar night when they played West VA.
To say Duke wasn't handed a favorable hand is ignorance at its finest however.
