Yeah same here, most of their stars were underclassmen last season so they'll have a bunch of people returning.

USC has got to be the clear cut favorite considering their schedule and overall telent of their team. I'd say they'll be playing Texas as they will finally get over the OU hump this yr.

since everyone is an expert. i gotta ask. who picked auburn to run the table last year?

my point being this. who know who will win. it is a crap shoot man.

the best and most talented doesnt always win. usually the coaching is the main point to a title.

It probably way too early to tell. How man times have key injuries ended a contender's run...

Id like to see USC fall. Nothing against them or anyone else, just end their ride. OU, i hope they dont even make a BCS bowl.

If UT doesnt make it, then i guess i dont have a prefrence. Just maybe some new faces, teams and coaches.

that's why they pad up and play the game, it's just like the lottery, you can't loose unless you buy a ticket!

Well. . . . I'm not sure if I'd call it a "crap shoot" or a "lottery." Anybody here hit the Yo TWICE IN A ROW? How 'bout back-to-back Powerball winners? Anyone? Bueller?

USC is the team to beat and should have the inside track barring injuries to skill players. The question might be their defense, but I have a feeling that the younger guys will step up to replace the lost starters.

I think it's funny (or are ya'll just trying not to jinx us?) that this is the VOLNATION website and not a damn one of you has said it:

TENNESSEE!!!! After a squeaker over LSU and a surprise cakewalk in Gainesville, UT rolls through the Tide, beats down the Dawgs, reminds the 'Domers of their last couple of trips to South Bend, and glides through November. Having seen the National Title stage before, Fulmer and company outcoach and outplay a heavily favored USC team for a second Championship in 7 years.

This is the year to get it done!

If we can win at both Florida and LSU, we will easily run the tables and roll right into Pasadena.

My prediction for the Vols is lose one and win the SEC to play in the Sugar Bowl.

I will, of course, be rooting for the Vols to play in the Tournament Of Roses.

Im sure the poster who said UT would run the table is just having wishful thinking. Its just too d@mn hard to do it in the SEC, AU was a suprise, but the SEC was not at its best last year, this year will be different. I cant see a team in the SEC going undefeated, UF,UT,LSU noone. To much to get through. I do think/expect UF to win every game, but thats hard for anyone to do. I just cant see UT (or UF for that matter) getting through the tough schedule. OSU has an easy schedule as does Texas if they can get through OU. I think its OSU/ UT (texas) vs. USC (hope im wrong)

thank you very much nc...ive seen you on GSMB, fun place

They are no worse than the GSMB...pretty knowledgeable and some good debates over here!

What is your name over there?

Texas won't do it. They will have to rely on Young's feet to get them offensive yardage, and he can't do it without passing or an other rushing support; Texas' passing game isn't very good, and they no longer have Benson to relieve pressure from Young. Oklahoma will win the Big XII again. They have a top QB prospect stepping in and should be able to defend just fine. Oklahoma has beem arguably the best recruiter in recent years.

Ohio State has a shot though. But they don't have even close to an easy schedule with Texas, Iowa and a road trip to Michigan on the list. However, Tressel figured out how to get the offense rolling late last season. The Buckeye defense was also solid and is returning every single starter except one.

Michigan has an almost-as-tough schedule, a lot of talent, good coaching. They will be equally as good.

So, that's why I believe, if we lose to either Florida or LSU, USC's challenger in the Rose Bowl will be determined November 19th in Ann Arbor.

Thats if all goes well milo! Afraid you could be right?

I think we UT can do it, But if we slip, That was our shot.

I hate to see Mich go! So ifwe dont lay in the bed of roses, It would be interesting to see Texas and USC if that was the case.

Its just so hard these days to pull a tough schedule and still win the politics....But it's going to be a blast' to be part of it once again..Win the East, We have the key's, Win the SEC, Now we got a ride..After that, Guess just take what they give ya....

Gatorville, no one said we would run the table's...

Most of us believe we have the talent, coaching staff, and else to do it.

If your a fan of the SEC, You know as a fla fan, If im incorrect, say so.
That when you play Ga, Bama, Aub, Lsu,UT,Fla, and even Sc at times.

Your playing a team that has you highlighted on their sched months before hand. It used to be simple'. Beat UT/Fla and you win the East.

Now with Ga back in the picture as a threat in the east, Its even in the SEC, The big 6, each division, UT,FLA,GA vs LSU,BAMA,AUBURN.

So its a no gimme' deal for either of our teams......Im a firm believer in the SEC as a whole. Win the SEC.....The rest is politics...

. . . .and is anyone else in the country NOT having "wishful thinking" right now? That's why we're on here, man. Surely you don't think that we drive around in orange and white cars, name our kids "Peyton," and plan road trips to Baton Rouge, Gainesville, and Tuskerlooser months in advance because we plan to lose?

Remember, we're all undefeated right now.
