National title game predictions

I believe it is possible that UT and Iowa could be in the NC game.

I don't think USC will go undefeated. They're going to realize just how much Chow meant to them.

. . . .and is anyone else in the country NOT having "wishful thinking" right now? That's why we're on here, man. Surely you don't think that we drive around in orange and white cars, name our kids "Peyton," and plan road trips to Baton Rouge, Gainesville, and Tuskerlooser months in advance because we plan to lose?

Remember, we're all undefeated right now.

Do you honest think UT WILL go undefeated and win the NC? I know they CAN, but going against the tough SEC schedule its extremly hard. That was my point. Where you get naming kids after peyton and coloring your cars I dont know. I simply said it would be very hard to go undefeated in the SEC.

I disagree. Good defense is what sets a team apart, especially in a high-power offense conference like the Pac-10. Pete Carroll is the master of shut-down defense in the second half.

Hey, we're a little over sensitive around here.

"Well. . . . I'm not sure if I'd call it a "crap shoot" or a "lottery"

not exactly what I mean, more like its way too early to tell, my heart tells me that UT can win it all, but my brain tells me that the road thru LSU, and FL it a bumpy one, and any team can be beaten but any other team on any given day( yes even the mighty USC), if predictions were anymore than just predictions then they wouldn't need to suit up and play the game

Ohio State HAHAHAHAHA, they have to find an offense 1st. Look for Michigan to beat them and Iowa and Texas

Apparantley you paid zero attention to the second half of their season... Ohio State's offense will be good, plus they have Ted Ginn.

OSU showed flashes but not enough to say they have found an offense. Speed Kills and OSU will find that out when they play Texas just as Michigan found out last January.

Let's see UT has done it before, and if I'm not mistaken Auburn went thru the SEC undefeated last year.

And I said the SEC is better this year than last. ESP. when you guys have to go on the road to LSU and UF. Plus a game with Bama, UGA, and I think ND, and youve got a real tough schedule, given the location of some and the back-to-back-to-back "ness" of games every week, its very hard. I know Auburn did it last year, I commented on that. But theyre in the west, IMO easier teams, and they had two tough road games, at UT and at Bama, IIRC. Just making an observation on the SOS, in the end, well find out whose right come fall.

Speed kills, Texas will find that out when they try to tackle Ted Ginn Jr.

Texas doesn't stand a chance in the Horseshoe, I hope they have the same mentality about the Buckeyes offense and you do, will make for a route big time.

I agree, Texas will get killed. The Longhorns have no passing game and Vince Young no longer has Benson to take the pressure off. Selving Young is not yet mature enough to serve as a viable go-to guy the way Benson was.

Ohio State on the other hand realized their offensive potential late last season and is looking to drop 30+ on Texas. Ted Ginn, Santonio Holmes and Anthony Gonzalez all create huge mismatch problems for the Longhorn backfield. The Bucks also return 10 starters from their defense.

Ohio State wins by 10 and barely breaks a sweat.

I can't agree more, Troy Smith will be back at QB and OSU's offensive weapons(Ginn, Holmes, Gonzalez) will create big problems for Texas.

And if people think that Vince Young is going to have a field day, jsut think of A.J. Hawk before going ahead and predicting that Vince will run all over the Buckeyes. Ohio State has the top LB corps in the country(Hawk, Carpenter, Schlegel, D'Andrea, Freeman) and will be giving Vince Young problems all over the field.

If it was down in DKR, then I could see a toss up game, but in the horseshoe is going to be too much for the Longhorns.

Honestly, it's one of those things that I just think Texas goes in and beats them. No particular reason.

I think their defense will be damn good with Auburn's DC leading the charge and I think Young will be a better passer then the previous year.

How about a sig bet? Whoever losses puts a signature of the others choice in their signature box for 7 days
