I've also heard the Horseshoe rivals even Neyland in loudness.

Been to both stadiums, he atmosphere is unreal compared to other stadiums I've been in. They're neck and neck as the top stadiums in the country, you can't hear yourself think inside either stadium.

I forget the year, but the shoe had LSU scared out of their minds when they came to Columbus. The Horseshoe doesn't have a tunnel to run through, but a shute that is outside and the teams come down it right between the stadium part and the stands that make it a Horseshoe. LSU made the mistake of walking down that shute before they were supposed to take the field, so they had to wait in that unprotected outside shute with fans to their left and right until it was time for them to take the field.

The fear in their eyes after enduring a few minutes of Buckeye fans' screams and cusses and threats towards them was priceless, you knew LSU had no shot at winning it even before they took the field.

That;s just one of the big reasons that I say Texas doesn't stand a chance, Big 12 doesn't have fans compared to the Big 10 and SEC, once they walk into the Horseshoe, they just won't know what hit them. Buckeyes will have the edge before the game even starts, and it could get ugly if the Buckeyes capitalize early on that.

TENNESSEE!!!!  After a squeaker over LSU and a surprise cakewalk in Gainesville, UT rolls through the Tide, beats down the Dawgs, reminds the 'Domers of their last couple of trips to South Bend, and glides through November.  Having seen the National Title stage before, Fulmer and company outcoach and outplay a heavily favored USC team for a second Championship in 7 years.

That is the typical answer I would expect as a Vol Fan. How about this Scenario.

Tennessee loses to LSU and squeaks by Florida and Georgia. Continues to run the table. Finishing with one loss.
Texas loses to Ohio State in the first game but beats Oklahoma. Also one loss.
Michigan goes Undefeated until the Ohio State Game. Again one loss.
Oklahoma loses to Texas in the game mentioned above but beats everyone else.
Ohio State loses to a very tough Iowa/Wisconsin team but beats Michigan

The BCS CRUMBLES into a pile of ashes after the computer burns up trying to figure out which of these five one loss Teams should play USC who is undefeated.

They dont have to play UM or OSU this year

I was thinking about that the other day. Plus they have the D to stop Iowa's one-dimensional offense.

So, I think Purdue is a great dark horse to win the Big Ten.

Purdue and Penn State will be the 2 darkhorses to win the Big 10.

Everyone is talking about Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa, but PSU and Purdue could slip right up in there for the Big 10 title.

Penn State, somehow I doubt it... But Purdue has the talent to get it done.

PSU is a long shot, but if their offense can get going then they'll be tough to beat.

Problem is they'll be lookig to true freshmen Derrick Williams and Justin King to pick up the slack on offense, I don't know how a team will fare when putting stock in 2 1st year players, but the Nittany Lions have a tough defense with all 12 starters back from last year.

Their D will keep them in a lot of games, depends on how their offense turns out.

Talk about a lose-lose... Not only that but the only kid I know at my school who is as fanatical about college football is a Miami fan. I'd never hear the end of it.

Regardless of who plays for the national title, we all know that if Bama only loses 2 games this year that they'll lay claim to winning the title.

Because I can't stand either team, would rather shoot myself than see either of them play for a title.

Isn't that number 683 for them?

Somehwere around there, each different Bammer has a different number of titles, all of them being above 600 though.
