Just a random question...why does everyone seem to think that Memphis is the better team in this game?

Trut the only thing I can say on my part man is Memphis has been on a mission from day 1. When I went to the FEF to watch them play, even before the season started I could tell Cal has this team ready to go all the way. You know, I really don't think it has anything to do with KU., I think even if it was UNC or UCLA,TX,DUKE or whoever, Memphis just has that swagger about them. Just my 2 cents.

Now let me say by all means KU will give Memphis the the hardest game of the teams I said. Please don't get me wrong because KU and Memphis look alot alike in some ways. (to me anyways)

Yeah, I was watching the Kansas/UNC game and I was getting excited about the UM/KU matchup because of how alike the teams looked.

Don't get me wrong, I am much more impressed with Memphis than I was during the regular season. They are clicking on all cylinders and Derrick Rose is an amazing player to watch. However, I still think, and this could be very biased, that KU, one through five, is much more talented than Memphis (and deeper).

I do believe that Rose and CDR can carry Memphis on their backs, but not to a lopsided victory. If anything, this game is decided by less than five either way.

To me I think the talent is even and Memphis does go deep also. I guess thats what is going to make this game so fun to watch.

One thing is for sure, we will see if all those trips to Laurinburg will pay off for Cal. I hope it does. :)

Alright, I'll step up against all you guys. I'm picking Kansas. The advantage Memphis had in guard play over Texas and UCLA will not be as strong against Kansas. Chalmers and Rush are both smart players and physically gifted. Rose and CDR will probably fare better than KU's guards in the matchup, but it will be a lot closer.

Kansas showed what they were capable of during the first half last night. If they play like that, and Memphis is slightly off of their game, I'll take KU all day.

But both teams will be focused.

Honestly, I'm a bit worried about this one. These teams are seemingly identical in that they have big guards, and are extremely athletic all over the floor. I would have much rather have seen UNC b/c they are a bit more reliable on Hansbrough and you saw what we did to K Love. If Dorsey/Dozier/Tag get in foul trouble early, it might be a long night for the Tigs.

Alrighty then. Let's just see what happens tomorrow night and then discuss the results at that time.
