I have posted this a few times but here goes.
For the record: I don't personally care who we get to come in and coach. If we hire the current coach of Austin-East, I'll cheer him on and wish him the best. I am not enough of a basketball coaching expert to predict how anyone will do in a new job with new players, NCAA issues, a potentially depleted roster, etc. I somehow doubt that LF will come here, but I'll welcome him if he does. However:
1. Your personal issue, not based on facts. In the NBA, LF ran a dribble drive, a motion offense, and a Princeton-style offense, depending on his personnel. He also has a coaching instructional video on the Pick & Roll offense.
2. I have not seen that posted anywhere. Instead, what I read is that he is a heckuva coach that players and (more importantly) even other coaches respect. Besides, 'anger' seems to be the dominant in-game mode of one of the greatest coaches that I know about: Pat Summitt. Works for her.
3. Doc was joking. Nobody knows how well LF will recruit, but he seems to be a personable, well-spoken man. And a bit height challenged. Since he is not on the court with you, would you care if your coach is short?
4. Do you have any reason to believe he is NOT squeaky clean? Did he have any significant violations while at UT or Marquette?
5. He also has not proven that he can NOT coach. I don't think you can look at the roster in his last year and call that "super talent", especially compared to the other teams in the Eastern division of the NBA that year. But that's a strawman. None of that matters with respect to how well he would do at UT.
