Duke commitment Tony Davis is someone that Tennessee has really started to take a long hard look at over the last month. The Vols offered a couple of months ago and since then he has picked up other solid offers from Georgia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Florida.
The pitch for defensive backs is fairly simple with Tennessee having very little depth or talent in the secondary.

I'm sure our incumbent DBs appreciate the statements that they have no talent lol (not necessarily disagreeing based upon last year's performance though). I suppose it could make them hungrier to improve.
Pruiit didn't say it. So not an issue. Anytime Pruitt is asked in public about CBs he gets pissed when someone says they lack talent. He backs his guys to media and says it's not a talent issue but a previous coaching development issue
It is an issue when posters describe our football players with they have no talent at a position. It is true that some of the current players will be recruited over, but those current players are part of the team and if they do not start, they will provide much needed depth. It is best to respect our players because with them, we have no "team"; only a bunch of individuals. Individuals can win at golf and tennis, but it take a team to win in most other sports.

Harris has a good relationship with fellow eastern North Carolina native Montario Hardesty who is helping Pruitt's staff in his homestate.
