No explanation in UNC board for the picks so just then guessing I take. Davis showed up to visit for their Freak show event. They said nothing beyond its clear his recruitment isn't over referring to his n Duke commit status. So one of those where these guys have no clue TN doing work in him behind scenes like the Harris commit

Shyheim Battle has been on college coaches’ radar for a long time but Tony Davis, a Duke commit, needs more attention and it is starting to come. Already a four-star in the new Rivals250, Davis just added an offer from Michigan this past week and posted a 4.5 second 40-yard dash and an 11-foot broad jump at the Freak Show. Those are really impressive numbers for a 6-foot-2 defensive back. Battle grabbed the spotlight early in the one-on-one session but Davis stormed back and everybody seemed to agree he had the best camp of the defensive backs. Make sure to track Davis’ recruitment over these next few weeks as things could really pick up.

marker earned the benefit of the doubt. While I don’t understand the kids logic behind being a silent to us while still publically committed to Duke, I will believe he’s ours until marker suggests otherwise.

Well we are literally recruiting every top CB in this class so..... I think it'd be logical to assume one of the others could have taken his spot. Especially if this kid is an unsure pickup at this moment.
