'22 NC DE James Pearce (Tennessee signee)

Oh man...we might have 'em based on Mike Peterson (the USC coach that is his primary recruiter) tweeting some saltiness earlier about not everyone can handle the " #BuckLife " or whatever.
probably speaking on the linebacker that committed to USC jr 4 days ago then signed with maryland today

Does getting both hurt our chances with Verse?
I would hope not. To be honest, we only have 1 real difference maker as a pass rusher right now in Young. Tyre West in a 3-technique DT that will shoot gaps. Baron and Harrison are solid, but unspectacular players; good against the run, but not quick enough. We still need Pearce as a 3rd down Pass Rush specialist and Verse as a plug and play type.

Forgot about Joesephs also. Need him to go along with Pearce, Verse and the returning players.

You're not Mexican?

Re: Losing Jacas/Agu. Another poster brought this up, but it’s likely Vandy and Illinois made a better NIL offer than we did and we let those schools have them. Agu and Jacas are bigger prospects for Illinois and Vandy then they are for us.

Good for them, what I hoped NIL would do spread out talent more, same thing will happen for us and top talent will filter to more schools.
