I’m very excited to have Sanders, but what an unnecessarily weird recruitment. Not often you see someone currently committed to your school go on a program to unveil for the 2nd time where he will be attending college. I guess the whole “I just want to do my ceremony with my teammates” thing wasn’t true.

Going to see more and more of this, especially with the highest profile recruits

Somehow I feel like Tom Segura became involved in this recruitment at some point.

Kid seems so humble and yet there just seems to be a lot going on around him. Good that this is done and he can focus on football now.

I keep seeing this point made about how it’s not the family. The family has chosen this person to represent them. Sanders CHOSE to go on the visit. Is the agent / representative negotiating without the consent of the family?? If so that would be grounds for immediate termination in my line of work. It’s absolutely the family that’s doing this because they can put a stop to it at any point they desire. And now it turns out that the story of the signing day with his teammates may be bull****???

Are they or are they not having a signing deal for all their athletes? I am hoping like heck we find out he wanted the SHOW, signed and forwarded his papers to the staff requesting their silence till the public announcement. I will then go back through this thread and call out every classless act in it. A win/win for me..... we get the player and I get to vent on negas. Time will tell, but the don't worry be happy messages make this very possible. Just hope if it is he does not hold the general VOL family responsible for the disparaging few.

This one had more twists and turns than I think I can ever remember even up until this morning.

David is a good kid. People around him made it more difficult than it needed to be.

He’ll be here in two weeks or so.

That's OK, we had too many idiot fans making the delay more difficult than it SHOULD be...... Three days worth of crap over a one day delay in putting pen to paper. Thank goodness he signed or they might have revived our trailer trash traditions and been featured on Finebaum instead of DS. World class BS cause of DS.... Some will continue to ride that train unless he is ALL SEC after his second game on the hill. Dissing a kid's family without a complete fact set is world class dumb. HOPEFULLY we will get clarification of the delay causes. Love to get some facts. But if I am hearing it right, he is going to make up for it by showing up in Jan instead of the summer or fall.
