Yep, BA hasn’t been good since Dilfer got to Lipscomb. I say kudos to GMac for toughing it out instead of leaving for the 10 other options I’m sure he had.

I think Merk will have a better grasp on the playbook and in the very limited time we’ve seen him play, he’s looked smooth.

GMac will need at least a year minimum to gain weight and learn the playbook, sure Nico did it, but he was around 10 pounds heavier. If I’m being brutally honest, I think GMac is a contingency plan in case Merk leaves.

When the time comes, are you gonna start:
- Merk RS Soph
- GMac RS Fr
- Faizon Fr

I personally think you RS Faizon and start Merk….see how he does for the first few weeks.

There’s also the chance Nico comes back and Faizon just starts once Nico leaves.

In 2026 we play Nebraska and we will probably play Texas. Nico vs Raiola and Nico vs Arch are both marquee QB matchups

I would take GMAC and Brandon over Deuce and a lesser QB in 2026. We only have so many resources we put towards QB.

Brandon has shown out on the field, in camps, and at the All American game combine. Brandon isn't leaving the top 10 and should be the top player when it's all said and done. GMAC has the arm talent to be a legit SEC QB also. Wouldnt trade our 2025/2026 QB recruits for anyone in the country.

I am not too worried about him at Auburn. Freeze seems to prefer getting developed QBs than working on his own.

Although they are surrounding with all the talent one could need.

I think he was unfairly a victim of national bias. He committed early, team wasnt good, and he wasnt flashy.

Had a nice TD in Polynesian bowl. Looked crisp in short and intermediate games.

He's at 0 stars now. Go get it.

Just need to get him some guys to catch it. Do NOT understand our struggles there.

Agreed. But there is a possible huge monkey wrench. Follow me here. Let’s say Nico doesn’t get the NFL draft news he wants at the end of this year. And then he gets a good NIL deal to come back for one more year.

Does he take it? And if he did, what does that do to Merk and GMacs future? I am with you though I live what we are doing with QB recruiting.
